The original title on this CNBC article included: "USA, China, India, lash out at EU climate policy."

Quote from CNBC link: "Under the terms of the policy, importers bringing these goods into the EU will be required to purchase CBAM certificates to cover their associated emissions."

In the USA, we call this "Carbon Credits."

For some reason, the CNBC article does not explain that exporters to the EU will just add the Carbon Credit cost into the price of their goods, and European customers will have to pay 100% of their own Green Tariffs.

Trump should tell Europe that we’re removing all of our carbon spewing military bases out of Europe and let them protect themselves from Russia and China and Iran.

Basically another tariff.
They do not like Trump’s tariffs, so they should eliminate theirs!

They're on a fast clipper ship. Should be here any day now.

Under the terms of the policy, importers bringing these goods into the EU will be required to purchase CBAM certificates to cover their associated emissions. The cost of these certificates is expected to be the same as the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) market price

Once again, we see the oligarch-banker controlled (and energy poor) Davos (and rump UK empire in London) attempting to gain control of, and manipulate, other countries' economies

Carbon trading is an ingenious new kind of counterfeiting. It is a financial derivative, created from nothing, but linked to human's most basic activity - the use of energy in production. Whether you fry an egg in your home, or run a giant steel mill, you expend energy - and EU oligarchs want to create counterfeit money linked to that activity.

I can’t wait to see what President Trump and his VERY competent team come up with to screw Yurp to the wall over this idiocy.

Most don’t realize just how bad the EU’s debt problem is, they are in negotiations with the IMF for a bailout….default and collapse is their single most worry.
That said, they suspended the Schengen ( visa) program, and now requiring US citizens to have a Visa to travel to the EU….but yet they keep writing checks ($$$ billions) to Ukraine….I find it amusing they tried to destroy Russia, but in the process ( 18 Sanction packages) they collapse instead!

Yet the EU countries will continue to import fossil fuels from Russia. Just a money grab from the socialists running Europe. Won’t do a damn thing to lower carbon emissions.
