Gov. Phil Murphy’s approval rating has dipped below President Donald Trump’s approval numbers in New Jersey, according to a new Emerson College poll that underscores how economic anxiety is shaping the state’s gubernatorial race.
The survey, conducted Sept. 22 to 23 among 935 likely voters, shows Murphy with a 35% job approval rating. That is lower than Trump, who holds a 41% approval rating among those surveyed.

Which victory of ours would have the biggest effect on the left’s psyche? I’m talking this November-4 weeks from now. It wouldn’t be a Mamdani loss-that’s dodging a bullet. I think it would be a Winsome Sears victory in Va. NJ gov? We did it before with the fat fella and the rino woman-forgot her name.

C’mon NJ- you can do better than that.
I would not say Jersey is in play. People right now are mad because a lot of the state just got huge utility price increases. Murphy gets most of the blame but people also realize some of that increase is for building new infrastructure to support data centers and they largely identify Republicans as the culprits in the data center boom.
NJ might end up with a Republican Governor but I would not be surprised if the Dem lady won either. There does not seem to be widespread public support for either of them and in a rough tie, the democrats usually pull out enough votes in the Route 1 corridor to win.
Im so happy I moved fom NJ to Florida last February.
Anyone who still votes Democrat in NJ is a masochist. Plain and simple. The Left have brutalized this state.
As a Virginian the irony of NJ voting in a Republican Gov and Virginia possibly having a Denonrat Gov is not lost on me. Man, how crazy would that be.
