NBC’s long-running crime drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" featured immigration officers blocking the police from investigating a rape by trying to arrest an illegal immigrant witness.
Thursday’s episode, "In the Wind," followed a building superintendent named Jorge Ruiz, played by Juan Francisco Villa, who becomes a key witness in identifying a rape suspect. However, Ruiz’s illegal status complicates matters after he flees an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid on his building because of his past as a convicted felon.

I depended upon all the Dick Wolf franchises to binge watch their reruns right after my dear wife died suddenly. The silence and emptiness at home required watching TV (which I shunned for 3 decades).
I do not agree with him, who I assume is like the rest of TV and Hollywood types. He specifically stated he will never state his political views “so I won’t lose 50% of the audience.”
I’m sure Wolf and the rest tilt their heads back at classy parties and make cheap jokes at Trump’s expense.
Never watched any of the Law and Order shows. The only police drama I ever watched was Blue Bloods, and when they started producing episodes that were based on crap that had been in the news a couple of months before, I turned it off.
It’s hard to hate something I no longer watch but I do appreciate these reports from the culture war front.

The key witness is an illegal alien and a convicted felon. His credibility is shot anyway.

I never could stand ANY of those Law and Disorder and CSI type shows. I did kind of like NCIS, but even that got kind of lefty-preachy, especially the last several years.

The one with Stabler (Organized Crime) isn’t as bad, but SVU is totally unwatchable. Besides the wokeism shoved down your throat, Benson has only 2 or 3 facial expressions. Boring.
I tried watching the very first episode years ago and couldn’t stomach it. The special victim was, well, something I would not call special. Regardless, there is no such thing as a special victim. A victim of crime is a victim of crime, PERIOD.
For some stupid reason, Dick Wolf replaced straight laced, honest cops and DA's enforcing the law, with crooked, Arrogant Lawfare Lawyers and Constitution ignoring, Arrogant Liar Cops.
Wolf worked very hard to make Lawfare and Socialist Disorder the hated cesspool it is.
I saw the episode, the illegal could identify the rapist but he was an illegal(been here for 20 yrs) he claimed he had paid his taxes and why should be help out the Govt that wants to ship him back..well what do you expect from law and order they are VERY far left, the actors are all leftist so there ya go
Only complaints of the left get airtime . Where was SVU when people were getting deported under Obama?
