If a recent YouGov poll holds, the United Kingdom could be in for an electoral dust-up of epic proportions - or, we might say, of Trumpian proportions.
In the poll, Nigel Farage's Reform Party is expected to gain a near-majority in Parliament, with the remaining Tories likely to join Reform in establishing a majority coalition. Watch this Sky News analysis:
Note that many of the possible Reform pickups come not just from the Tories, but from the more liberal Labour Party - that's Kier Starmer's Labour Party.
This could put Reform leader Nigel Farage in the Prime Minister's chair.
The scale of Labour's crisis was laid bare today as a megapoll found Nigel Farage on track for Downing Street.
Reform would make the biggest surge in British political history if an election was held now, according to the YouGov research.
Although the party would be slightly short of an overall majority with 311 MPs, that would almost certainly see Mr Farage become PM.
Meanwhile, Labour would lose more than 250 seats on its current tally - and the Tories would slump into fourth behind the Lib Dems, with just 45 MPs.
The huge survey used a technique known as MRP to project results for all constituencies, based on the characteristics of their voters.
Here are the results:

Note that the Daily Mail story, while speculating about the election, barely mentions Mr. Farage and contains no comments or feedback from Mr. Farage or any Reform Party member. That's as obvious a job of the media freezing out a candidate as we've seen lately, and this is the Age of Trump, when such things are routine.
Reform is poised to take the reins anyway. This could be, as someone once said, a big freaking deal. And the United Kingdom, if there is to be a United Kingdom, needs a course-change, and right the heck now.

Nigel Farage Proposes 'Massive Turnaround' on Illegal Immigration in Bid for UK Prime Minister
Nigel Farage, a key ally of President Trump, is just the guy for the job. He was a key voice in Brexit. If Reform captures a near-majority and is able to make common cause with enough Tories and disenchanted Labour PMs to establish a majority, he has already laid out some things he wants to do. These include an end to what he calls "non-essential" immigration and withdrawing the United Kingdom from the European Convention on Human Rights. That last part sounds ominous, but in practice, what it would do is to make it possible for the UK to pass stricter immigration laws and to step up the deportation of people in Britain illegally.
Sound familiar?
The current Prime Minister, Labour's Kier Starmer, has vowed to make the next election a contest between Labour and Reform. A quick look at the video analysis above would appear to indicate that much of Reform's growth has been at the expense of Labour, as well as the Tories. That might make this a long haul for Labour - and maybe a start on the road back for the once-Great Britain.
For how long can Starmer and/or Labour fend off the next election?
On British TV tonight, they said the election will be in four years.
Hopefully NOT too little too late.
“How long can Starmer and/or Labour fend off the next election?”
Until August 2029
Until 2029. They have a massive majority so it is unlikely they would vote no confidence in the government to trigger an election.
The King could dissolve it on his own and order an election but the chances of that are virtually nil - the government would have to be in a total state of chaos and collapse for that to occur where it would have popular support to give the monarch cover to do so. The last time a government was dismissed like this was in 1975 in Australia.
Yeah they are in an awful situation.
Case study in a population throwing one party out but thinking the other party would be better even though it stands for the exact opposite of what they wanted.
Who knows where Farage,or Great Britain will be in four years.
Yes and No on that Labour has its all-out Palestinian faction demanding tough sanctions on Israel.
Plus, Starmer has to cut social spending unpopular with his Left-Wing yes Starmer committed to more defense spending because of Russia increasing chances of Labor division that could trigger a new election before 2029.
Farage is not the “Next Big thing”. he is the UK’s last hope before the Islamic deluge that has already swamped France as well. Farage has patiently bided his time, waiting for the majority of Brits to wake up and smell the Turkish Coffee. Farage will win, LaPen will make a comeback and Germany’s AfD will eventually assume power. It is just a matter of time before Europe launches a sort of “Crusade” to save herself this time.
,,, put Farage... in charge.
The King could dismiss Parliament in a bold move to stave off Civil War—Call for early elections. But, things will need to get worse. New calls for a general strike could freeze the whole of the UK. Violence from the Immigrant community could start a rash of actions. The Army could refuse to act-so too the police. England is in for some interesting times in the next few years.
,,, probably over the next few months.
Lord Protector Nigel has a nice ring.
Seize the assets of the Crown to help reduce debt......depose Chuck.
Crown William with a pre-nup stipulating lock-step with written constitution embodying conservative patriotic Victorian values.
Execute all Labor and Winos....Whig/Conservatives in Name Only.
Declare Australia, Canada, and NZ in rebellion if they do not go along. Send troops to liberate your brother subjects from leftist tyranny.
Revoke Indian independence. Tell China we want Hong Kong back.....regain a purpose in life.
Labour may very well be divided. And they may very well replace Starmer.
But that does not mean that 161 Labour MPs will defect and force an election at which many of them might very well lose their seats.
Yeah, well, a poll today says nothing about 2029.
That’s too long from now to predict a future win for Farage.
I wish they could have elections soon, as the British people might not make it until 2029.
If the Left is angry enough it could come down.
The Conservative Party in Britain was governing virtually identical to the Labour Party which is why things weren’t going well. They then voted in the actual Labour Party which has continued to push forward with more of the same policies on steroids and things continued to get worse - who knew?
