No state requires citizenship to get a driver’s license. Permanent resident visa (known as green card) are all eligible for driver’s license. Actually even student visa holders can get driver’s license. I did when I was on student visa. Only people who should not get drivers license are illegals.

There are federal restrictions on CDLs.. Including being able to commincate in english and read english..

many of the CDL hodlers from CA can’t meet that standard.

California has now been put on notice by Secretary Duffy and must, within 30 days:

>Pause issuance of non-domiciled CDLs.
>Identify all unexpired non-domiciled CDLs that fail to comply with FMCSA regulations.
>Revoke and reissue all noncompliant non-domiciled CDLs if they comply with the new federal requirements.

The rule is effective immediately. California has 30 days to come into compliance or FMSCA will withhold federal highway funds, starting at nearly $160 million in the first year and doubling in year two.

NOT ENOUGH. DOJ needs to launch a criminal investigation. Involuntary manslaughter charges at a minimum for merely the Florida 'u-turn' crash.
