This is what happens when things don't go the way a self-absorbed narcissist thought they would. On the reading of his guilty verdicts, after the jury deliberated for about as long as it takes to eat a sandwich, would-be Donald Trump assassin tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen.
🚨 BREAKING — Ryan Routh allegedly tried to stab himself in the neck after his guilty verdict was read in the court room.

Fox News's Danamarie McNicholl had this to say in the above video:
John, I just have a lot of breaking news in terms of the sequence of what happened right after the verdict was read. Now it is quite shocking, right after the verdict was read, it appeared to our producers inside the courtroom (that) Routh tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen, that's what it appeared to look like. Then four marshals dragged him out of the courtroom, took his coat off, then shackled him at the waist and ankles. And then they brought him back into the courtroom.
NBC News has more details:
The trial of Ryan Wesley Routh came to a dramatic end Tuesday when he started stabbing himself in the neck with a pen after a Florida jury found him guilty of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump last year on a golf course.
After just two-and-half hours of deliberations, the panel also found Routh guilty of assaulting the Secret Service agent who rousted him from his hiding place and guilty of three federal gun charges stemming from the Sept. 15, 2024, incident.
Routh, who had pleaded not guilty to all the charges, now faces life in prison when he is sentenced.
This is after his rather odd defense.

The jury's verdict was, as we noted, arrived at very quickly, within 2 1/2 hours. We do not yet know if that time span included a break for lunch.
Put his reaction in context, this was the only court case he has ever lost as a lawyer.
He knew the Marshals would immediately restrain him. Theatrics...
They should have let him do it.
L
What did dems say? He deserved it. He did it to himself. Should have just let him EXPRESS HIS DISPLEASURE. BTW who did he work for? AOC Ilhan Schumer shifty shiff
Right. Who PAID him
My first thought was that this was an attempt to play the insanity angle.
You just know he’s going to appeal because he didn’t have decent representation (his own idea), and judge Cannon rebuked him dozens of times (rightfully so), and he’ll end up getting a new trial. Then some high powered attorney, paid by Soros, will come in and put on a not guilty by reason of insanity defense, and claim the notoriety of the case prevents him from getting a fair trial. Probably a change of venue, too.
His next trick will be to pull a Bradley Manning and start his transvestism project.
I would put money on it if the odds were right.
Put him in a room with a sharp object and an endless loop of ‘Baby Shark’ playing out load.

Gee, is he a crazy Democrat...?
If he’d really meant to kill himself, he would have stuck the pen into his eyeball.
Real-life Perry Mason!
So... I guess he’s not looking forward to the multiple prison gangrapes he’ll be subjected to. Let him rot in prison for a few years... Then give somebody a shive to put him out of his misery during one of those gangrapes.
From I read about the guy, he does seem to qualify as a nutcase.
But he is getting life in prison.
He has a pretty long history of run in’s
with the law.
I don’t think his appeal will fly either.
Just because you represent yourself in court
isn’t grounds for an appeal. There
were court appointed attorneys on site,in
the courtroom to be sure his rights
weren’t violated.
Looks like that pen wasn’t a “Sharpie”
What is the evidence that Routh is a former Trump supporter?
He was probably at January 6th.
