North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un suggested his country can resume dialogue with the U.S. if Washington drops calls for Pyongyang to denuclearize, state media reported Monday morning local time.
"If the United States shuts down its hollow denuclearization ideology and wants a true peaceful coexistence with us based on acceptance of reality, then we have no reason not to [sit down with] the United States," Kim said during his parliamentary speech, according to the post.

I remember that when Trump went to North Korea commentators were saying that he did it even though a formal peace agreement was never signed between North Korea and the USA, and that at least on paper we were still at war. (I don’t know if that was all B.S. on their part or not)
What harm could come of another meeting?

I know a tiny bit about this because a) my girlfriend is Korean American and b) I’ve been to the DMZ. IIRC the fighting stopped without any formal treaty having been signed so,technically speaking,North and South Korea are still at war.

He is making peace overtures because he saw what happened to Iran and he doesn’t want to see his own nuclear setup, whatever that is, getting GBU-57’ed.
I’m pretty sure that on paper, we’ve never been at war with North Korea.
We’ve participated in a globalist fundraiser, but never been at war.

When Trump simply walked across the border it was the first time an American President had set foot in NK. He ignored the diplomatic posturing about not having ever had a peace agreement. It was a big deal, and subsequently Kim ceased missile firings and nuclear testing for the rest of the Trump administration. Kim also indicated he was OK with being “Rocket Man,” although not the ”little” part.
I would be more interested in what Ha-Seong Kim had to say.
,,, his funding from China is probably lower now China’s going through a bit leaner times. Also, when something noisy starts in the South China Sea the Korean won’t want to be dealt to at the same time.
