Letter to the editor … They’re the regressives

In the aftermath of the recent assassination of popular youth political influencer Charlie Kirk, could we at least stop calling Democrats, socialists, left-wing activists and their ilk “progressives”?

There is absolutely nothing progressive about a political movement that engages in assassination, the arson of car dealerships and the burning, rioting and looting of major U.S. cities.

If anything, this political movement is actually regressive. Its violence, coercion and tactics are downright medieval. In this day and age, it is vitally important to have truth in labeling.

Just as Democrats no longer practice democracy, the Progressives no longer contribute to progress. Somewhere around the middle of 1960’s or so, they totally abandoned their stated goals and ambitions, and made an aggressive grab for power for the sake of power, ethics and tradition be damned.

You are absolutely correct, so how do we deal this roughly 10% of our population?
I’d start by firing all Public school teachers
and then offering them a new non-union job.
New job application will require a paragraph or so,
on what personal freedoms are guaranteed by our constitution
and what God given rights we were given by God and not man.

I certainly agree with the sentiment expressed. I call them Democrats with their adopted pronouns of liberal and progressive.

Sad thing is that they enthusiastically embraced that attitude.

There is nothing unoward about using he term “Progressive” to describe the Democrats.They’re intenton is of making as rapid progress as possible toward totalitarian socialism. The word progressive denotes movement, not ideology. It has come to mean leftward movement during the last 150 years, the ultimate goal being socialism then communism.
