A smirking Jimmy Kimmel emerged from his Los Angeles home Thursday afternoon — to drive himself to his high-powered attorney’s office — since getting canned by ABC over his offensive Charlie Kirk comments. The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host, 57, was spotted in his sleek black Audi S8, wearing shades and flashing the sinister grin as he arrived at a Century City complex that houses several law firms, according to photos snapped by The Post.
The comedian was meeting with his attorney, Karl Austen, a day after the network “indefinitely” yanked his longtime late-night show over venomous remarks — which he refused to apologize for — that targeted the 31-year-old gunned-down right-wing icon during Monday night’s monologue, Page Six confirmed.
Austen’s other high-profile Hollywood clients have included Seth MacFarlane, Jude Law Dave Bautista, and Jeffrey Wright. The TV personality was later seen slipping out of the legal eagle’s office before sneaking his posh car through the back gate of a parking garage and down an alley about four hours later.

His lawyer told him there’s nothing he can do.
And then he billed him $10,000.

ABC can sack anyone they want, especially a loser who’s ratings have collapsed over the past 10 years.
I’m not sure he wants to sue. He may love what happened. He was probably going to get fired in a humiliating way. Now he gets to strut and preen, and be the hero who was fired for “speaking truth to power.” This was the best thing that could happen to him.
His contract expires in May. It’s perfect. They don’t even have to pay him off, just run off the clock.
“sleek black Audi S8…” “high- powered attorney…” Tell me this wasn’t written by some 27 year old female journo major.
I doubt Jimmy is capable of thinking rationally like that. I think he is an emotional person. So he is doing things without thinking twice. For a long time, there were no consequences to his actions.
I’ve only seen Kimmel a few times.... But every time I have seen him, he has been smirking. Like he thinks he is funny and smart.
I’ve yet to see any evidence that he is either.
No, he’s Narcissist, he’s not as innocent as you think. This was a huge win for him.
I expect Kimmel has that lawyer on a retainer, so he’s already paid for a consultation such as this.
Comedian? That’s a stretch.
He’ll want to end his contract, get a huge amount of money, and take his talents to the internet...where they will become yet another podcast nobody watches.
He sure is getting a disproportionate amount of news coverage for a comedian that isn’t actually any good at filling people with mirth.
Now he can present himself as a hero. The truth won’t matter. I can see it now, “I told the truth about Robinson was MAGA, and I got fired for telling the truth,”
Heck, anyone who identifies as MAGA should be able to sue him for slander. He’d want to have a high powered lawyer.
That would pretty much be impossible in the U.S. And even a stretch in the U.K.
His lawyers are negotiating Jimmy’s termination by ABC and trying to get him as much money as possible. Nothing unusual.
How Jimmy Kimmel’s Suspension Went Down: Sponsor Panic, a Defiant Host and a Painful Call
Disney’s Bob Iger and Dana Walden wanted to know how Kimmel was going to address the situation. Sources say he planned to defend what he said rather than “kowtowing” to the outrage. Disney thought that would fan the flames.
