Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the nation’s largest ABC affiliate group, has suspended all broadcasts of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show while calling on ABC and FCC to “take additional action.”
As Breitbart News reported on Wednesday, ABC, Disney, and broadcast affiliate Nexstar are pulling Jimmy Kimmel “from all of their stations” after he suggested the assassin of conservative activist Charlie Kirk may be affiliated with MAGA despite evidence indicating he was influenced by left-wing ideologies. Nexstar said Kimmel’s comments were “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse,” adding it would like to “move toward the resumption of respectful, constructive dialogue.”
Shortly after ABC announced the suspension, Sinclair Inc. Vice Chairman Jason Smith released a statement rebuking Kimmel’s comments as “inappropriate and deeply insensitive.”
“Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country,” said Vice Chairman Jason Smith. “We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities. We appreciate FCC Chairman Carr’s remarks today, and this incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks.”
Sinclair announced that ABC stations will “air a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk this Friday, during the Jimmy Kimmel Live! time slot.”

Democrats have to be in an absolute panic. They have never been hit up side the head so hard.
They have to know they are losing control. They also know their past powerful coalition has fallen apart.
I wonder if they are talking about running for president the titular head of the party - Joe Biden.
Just months ago Biden was widely believed by the democrat party to be the best person - the only person - that was capable of leading the nation. He is not that much older today than he was in November.
I just hope they fire that hateful clown, not just a suspension. His show did nothing but spew anti-Trump hate!

One tactic I haven’t seen discussed is for consumers to boycott companies that advertise on Kimmel’s show.
Kimmel and Clint Eastwood had quite a dust-up on the former’s show. Can anyone post a link to the actual footage, not commentary on it?
Kimmel used to have “bum fights” on his (old?) show, “The Man Show”.
I don't know if they're actually in a panic, but their desperation is obvious. Look how they keep changing their strategy. Democrat Central Command seems to have broken down, possibly because they're fighting with each other over what to do. Do they stick with the trans lobby, or do they throw it under the bus, and risk losing a large number of their young fanatic supporters?
Too bad, they whine about free speech but the market has spoken. The free speech of ABC affiliate stations’ conservative viewers trumps Pimmel’s right to be an anus.

Have never listened to Kimmel. IMHO, nothing’s lost by not broadcasting Kimmel.

Broadcast TV was dead to me long before this.
And if local affiliates go the way of the dino, no loss.
This made me chuckle.
Did the employees at the local affiliates yhreaten to walk if the Kirk special was aired?
Given what passes for content on the local news these days, that wouldn’t surprise me.
Just another reason the affiliates can go bust right along with their networks with my blessing.
Then again, maybe it wasn’t the employees...
