Two British MPs ‘denied entry’ into Israel during official West Bank visit

Two British MPs travelling as part of a parliamentary delegation to the occupied West Bank have said they were denied entry into Israel.

Labour politicians Simon Opher and Peter Prinsley were travelling as part of a group that was due to meet British diplomats in Jerusalem this week, in addition to Palestinian and Israeli human rights organisations.

Opher’s office said in a statement on Tuesday that the purpose of the visit, organised by the Council for Arab-British Understanding, was to “enable members of parliament to witness the vital medical and humanitarian work of a range of organisations including Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) in the occupied West Bank.”

It added: “It is deeply regrettable that Israeli authorities prevented them from seeing first-hand the grave challenges facing medical facilities in the region and from hearing the British government’s assessment of the situation on the ground.”

Opher, the MP for Stroud and chair of the all-party parliamentary group for health, has returned to the UK from Jordan. Before his election to parliament, he was a full-time GP in Dursley. Prinsley, the MP for Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, has been an NHS surgeon in East Anglia for 30 years.

In April, two Labour MPs said they were also denied entry into Israel and deported back to the UK. Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed were rejected because they were suspected of plans to “document the activities of security forces and spread anti-Israel hatred”, according to the Israeli immigration ministry.

The decision was criticised at the time by David Lammy, then foreign secretary, who said: “It is unacceptable, counterproductive, and deeply concerning that two British MPs on a parliamentary delegation to Israel have been detained and refused entry by the Israeli authorities.”

Britain has never been a friend of Israel. There is no reason why Israel should cooperate with people likely to be enemies.

They should probably get used to it.

How about this for a reason:

The U.S., Britain, Jordan and France All Helped Shield Israel From Iranian Drone and Missile Strikes.

Sure sounds like a Britain was being a friend to Israel.

I've always been amazed at the astounding lack of gratitude from Israel and its supporters. They remember every slight, but forget every generosity.

Go to war against Israel 🇮🇱 and you go to war against the Apple of God’s Eye

The World hasn’t figured that out and won’t figure it out, all the way to Armageddon

But, few will listen

And the prophecies will be fulfilled

Zechariah 12:1-3
21st Century King James Version

12 The burden of the Word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord who stretcheth forth the Heavens, and layeth the foundation of the Earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a Cup of Trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3 And in that Day will I make Jerusalem a Burdensome Stone for all people. All who burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the Earth be gathered together against it.

Zechariah 14:1-5
21st Century King James Version

14 Behold, the Day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished. And half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the Lord go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.

4 And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north and half of it toward the south.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal. Yea, ye shall flee as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with Thee.

And you prove my point, repeatedly.

You’re often on the opposite side of Israel 🇮🇱 though you do get some things right in other areas.

This is not about "sides."

Someone posted that Britain has never been a friend to Israel.

So I gave an instance where Britain, at its own expense, has been a great friend to Israel. Probably saved Israeli lives from incoming missiles.

And you bitch about that because ... why? Because it ruins the narrative?

Britain saved Israeli lives. How terribly anti-Israel to point it out!

Britain has done some good things

However they have (the government) a long history of fighting Israel at the same time

The Jordanian Air Force in the most critical battle of 1967 were also flying a British aircraft and their pilots were trained by the British.

Many governments play both sides.

Still the world is going to go to war against Israel 🇮🇱 under the Antichrist.

Choose what you will...

(Someone posted that Britain has never been a friend to Israel.)

I think I saw that.

The Balfour Declaration in its original intent.

Shoot even the Godless Reprobate United Nations seemed to be a friend to Israel 🇮🇱 with U.N. Resolution 181.

Don’t ask me to praise the United Nations though.

It’s a mix but the Guardian, the BBC, etc. have LONG been pro-Palestinian which is not-so-subtle against National Israel.

Oh and Great Britain is being
taken over by Muslims.

It’s quite obvious where
this will end up.

And it’s not good.

Granted this is AI so FWIW:

Significance

UN Resolution 181 was a significant action by the United Nations to address the complex issue of the future of Palestine, which had been transferred to the UN by the British. It was a critical step in the path toward the creation of Israel but also marked the beginning of the Arab-Israeli conflict, as the ensuing civil war in Palestine ultimately led to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
