Led by Paul Preston, a talk radio host on One Radio Network and president of the movement, supporters say California has been taken over by a "totalitarian one-party system" and argue that the only solution is to carve out a 51st state.
"We're not secessionists—we're not trying to secede from the Union," Preston told Newsweek. "We're making a new state, growing the Union of states, so that we will become the 51st state of the Union."
Newsweek has contacted Governor Gavin Newsom's office for comment via email.

Western Maryland -> West Virginia
Southern Illinois -> Indiana.
It can be done, but the California Legislature and the US Congress have to agree. I guess that means, just a majority vote in the California Legislature and US House and Senate.
How ‘bout we Americans all rent some D-9s and push that sewage off into the Pacific.
Anything 5 miles east of the coast may not even exist for the californicators power structure. Every state dominated by a few blue cities need to form new states.

Whoa. The 2 extra Senators would be big. The house swing would be a double whammy for California. Say 15 seats are taken from Cali. It would be a 30 seat swing. Huge.

There is a group in Oregon that wants out of the democrat lock on their state, also-my best friend and his snowbird sister were just telling me about it a few hours ago. The sister says she is selling out there and moving here fulltime if the split does not happen-she lives outside Eugene...
