Hundreds gathered at the Huntington Beach Pier Saturday evening to honor the life of conservative podcast host Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Attendees lit candles, waved flags, and shared memories of Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA. The vigil, organized by local supporters and Turning Point USA affiliates, featured moments of silence, speeches, and songs reflecting on Kirk’s impact on conservative youth activism. Some participants waved white flags while others echoed chants honoring Kirk’s legacy.

“Waved white flags?” Why?
All I saw was American flags in the video.
Well, God bless Huntington Beach. Sounds like a nice place.
Don’t know, but hopefully it means they surrendered all to Christ!
There was also a vigil there, which I attended, on September 10, a few hours after the assassination, There were lots of American flags and a few Trump flags, but no white flags.

"He beat two women--Hillary and Kamala! He beat them bad!"
"America is saved! Woo-hoo!"
Good news from OC....OC could always be counted on before 2018 when it fell from the Republican column to Hillary after many decades of being the conservative bastion. We moved from there while conservatives were still in control - sad to see what happened...BUT NOW??? Could be “times they are a changing” back to normal??? Get those kids from UCI out to vote - offset their parents votes!
OC is blue/purple from immigration. HB is very red as are a few remaining cities. I don’t see OC going red again. Lived in OC/HB most of my life.

“”OC is blue/purple from immigration””
I understand...We lived in Costa Mesa and Irvine - must say Costa Mesa was “more real” than the plastic city of Irvine..moved from there because of the demographics in the schools - didn’t speak Spanish LOL; it’s where our daughter started school and finished in Irvine...she spent summers surfing at Newport Beach and Huntington Beach! Teenage years riding the bus with surfboards...friends who drove took them to San Clemente also...nothing like surfing in water that glows in the dark. I understand San Onofre is closed now..As crazy as it sounds - I MISS CA!!!!!!
I went to Estancia HS, graduated in ‘82. CM was a lot different back then. Work in Irvine now and have for most of my career. That city is a lot different also. Those 2 cities had a lot to do why OC changed. My kids went to HBHS. I will probably not leave HB.
the reddit leftist in the orange county subredit are going bat sgit crazy over the group marching to the pier with a picture of charlie kirk.. calling HB a bad place
Yes, here’s hoping.
