Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday condemned the presence of Russian drones in Romanian territory.
The Kremlin’s air surveillance in Ukraine has persisted while unmanned aircrafts have been reported in neighboring nations this week.
“The Russian military knows exactly where their drones are headed and how long they can operate in the air. Their routes are always calculated. This cannot be a coincidence, a mistake, or the initiative of some lower-level commanders,” Zelensky said in a statement on X.
“It is an obvious expansion of the war by Russia – and this is exactly how they act. Small steps at first, and eventually big losses,” he continued.
The Romanian Air Force deployed two F-16 fighter jets to track the drone presence before it disappeared near Chilia Veche, according to officials.
The country’s leaders denounced the surprise onslaught of drones, citing security concerns for citizens.

If anyone was going to do anything about it, they would have done so by now.
I thought Zelensky was a comedian this is more like drama.
A lot of people have been pointing blame at Russia (or Zelensky/the Ukrainian government), but my best guess at this point would be something like a CIA false flag or a nongovernmental organization trying to stir the pot.
“Rather than view the stakes at risk by these incursions from the very narrow, myopic lens of a shortsighted American national interest, consider how the incursions and countermeasures look to China and how that, in turn, affects American national interests.”
I did.
And I think the Chinese are shaking their head and mumbling something akin to “they’re smarter than we thought”.
Any country that chooses to engage in war with Russia is too dumb for statehood.
So much for deterrence. For the want of a coherent policy respecting Russia, have we doomed ourselves to a war with China?
Are there any treaties requiring notification before entry?
Romania is a NATO member.
Deterrence in the abstract has variable value, depending on the circumstances.
However, when countries know we’ll protect our essential interests, like in Taiwan/South China Sea/Westpac and refuse to expend resources where we have no interests whatsoever (Ukraine)...they’ll think twice before challenging our interests.
And that’s exactly why China has not taken Taiwan or directly challenged us in the Pacific. Because they know how we’ll react. Because they now know we are focused on real interests.
Not silly-assed do-gooder sh!t.
“Romania is a NATO member.”
Yeah...
“So much for deterrence. For the want of a coherent policy respecting Russia, have we doomed ourselves to a war with China?”
What’s your idea of a coherent policy? What should we do? We’re not going to war with Russia over a few airspace violations. More sanctions and embargoes? They haven’t worked yet.
Zelensky is a manipulative grifter who is prone to hysterics just like the rest of the EU. He’s outlawing anything Russian in the Russian areas if Ukraine.
He’s not an effective leader.
He needs to step down so Ukrainians can elect a sane leader who will negotiate with Putin.

Mr. Double Standards I presume?
You think that “calling out” Russia for launching dozens of armed drones into NATO countries is a drama-queen behavior?
Well.. were Americans drama-queens as well then, during the Chinese balloon incursion gate? We Republicans rightfully went NUTS! Remember?

Let me tell you one thing, we can’t fool around with the China-Russia-North Korea-IRAN Alliance’s war-games against the West and NATO anymore. Letting them invade our air space with spy-balloons and armed drones is no laughing matter. It could degenerate into a third world war.
Is that a Russian drone flying over your house? Some here call me a “Chicom Agent” so who knows maybe I am in charge of balloons.
It saddens me that the war drums are being beat with a generation of Americans ‘that can’t afford anything’ on our college campuses as noted by the late Charlie Kirk.
War is beyond our ability to pay for it my friend.
The Russian news service TASS:
Poland shot down three out of the 19 drones that entered its airspace, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
According to him, violations of Poland’s air borders persisted throughout the night, from 11:30 p.m. local time on September 9 to 6:30 a.m. local time on September 10
Belarusian air defenses tracked unmanned aerial vehicles entering the country’s airspace last night and shot some of them down, said Pavel Muraveiko, chief of the Belarusian General Staff.

“You think that “calling out” Russia for launching dozens of armed drones into NATO countries is a drama-queen behavior?”
Considering it’s been going on for over 3 years and nobody has the balls to do anything about it besides whine...yes, absolutely.
Drama queen.
It reminds all of us of you.
Russia should not wage war but the provocations leading to this mess are undeniable like the Obama-Nuland Coup in Ukraine in 2014 and the list goes on.
'I'm not gonna defend anybody' — Trump says days after Poland shoots down Russian drones.
Odd how much of our resources Pres. Trump and Congress have expended on Ukraine where we allegedly have no interests whatsoever.
One that is at least announced, articulate, understandable. Regrettably, President Trump's policy statement in reaction to the incursion into Polish airspace was none of these:
“What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!”
