BOSTON (AP) — A U.S. appeals court panel on Thursday allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to block Medicaid funds to Planned Parenthood while legal challenges continue.
A federal judge in July ruled Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide must continue to be reimbursed for Medicaid funding as the nation’s largest abortion provider fights Trump’s administration over efforts to defund the organization in his signature tax legislation.
Medicaid is a government health care program that serves millions of low-income and disabled Americans. Nearly half of Planned Parenthood’s patients rely on Medicaid.
A provision in Trump’s tax bill instructed the federal government to end Medicaid payments for one year to abortion providers that received more than $800,000 from Medicaid in 2023, even to those like Planned Parenthood that also offer medical services like contraception, pregnancy tests and STD testing.......
Planned Parenthood said Thursday’s ruling means that more than 1.1 million patients can’t use their Medicaid insurance at its health centers. That also puts as many as 200 of those health centers at risk of closure, Planned Parenthood said in a statement.
Planned Parenthood says it is the nation's leading provider and advocate of affordable sexual and reproductive health care, as well as the nation's largest provider of sex education.

1. Taxpayers should not be funding abortions.
2. If an entity is receiving taxpayer funding they should not be able to lobby (give money) to lawmakers.
“Medicaid is a government health care program that serves millions of low-income and disabled Americans...”
Also a great program for fraudsters to get rich and put the payouts on the national debt. Also haven’t seen any stories where 100,000 (or any number) illegals were taken off the Medicaid roles.
The TRUMP ADMINISTRATION did not block ANYTHING! This was not an executive order, this was the elected representatives of the AMERICAN PEOPLE in the House and Senate carrying out the will of the American voters, sending a bill to the president, so that he could sign it into law.
The previous judge perhaps decided before the BBB was passed?
If you read their own data, the amount of things they do beyond abortion is downright negligible, just a relic of what they used to have to do to launder funds restricted from abortion.
The scam back in the old days: So let’s say the government gives Planned Parenthood $1 billion. But all of PP’s other sources (fundraising, “non-election” political campaigning including GOTV, terrorist training, etc.) cost only $400 million. Even wildly inflating those costs to enrich allies can only credibly PP can’t very well claim it spend $1 billion on non-abortion services if they’ve plainly only laundered $900 million.
So they spend $100 million on other “legit” services, like distributing faulty condoms, pregnancy tests, and other ways of building up their customer base.
Here’s how bad PP “medicine” is:
They “served” a total of 2.08 million people, which is less than 1.2% of women in America. They performed 420,000 abortions, which is about 50% of all abortions. But doesn’t that mean that 80% of the women they “serve” aren’t there for abortions? Well, that condom stapled to the pizza box (no kidding: when I was in college, they’d intercept pizza deliveries and staple condoms to them) only cost a few quarters.
They identify among these women “served” 400,000 “pap tests and breast exams” on their annual report. But they actually perform zero breast exams; they *refer* women to get breast exams.
Well, isn’t it helpful for women to have someplace to go to discuss their pregnancy scare, even if they don’t get abortions? 98% of all pregnancy resolutions in PP end in abortion.
TL/DR: PP spends next to nothing on anything other than abortion.
Planned Parenthood is not a health provider. It is a death factory.
Great news for a week full of sadness.
