RFK Jr. on Assassination of Charlie Kirk: ‘Once Again, A Bullet Has Silenced the Most Eloquent Truth Teller of an Era’

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hailed Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk as a “relentless and courageous crusader for free speech” after the 31-year-old was assassinated on Wednesday.

“Once again, a bullet has silenced the most eloquent truth teller of an era,” said Kennedy, whose father and uncle were also assassinated. Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy, was shot on June 5, 1968, after winning the Democrat primary in California and died the next day. Kennedy’s uncle, former President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated on November 22, 1963.

“My dear friend Charlie Kirk was our country’s relentless and courageous crusader for free speech. We pray for Erika and the children. Charlie is already in paradise with the angels. We ask his prayers for our country,” Kennedy continued.

For reference, RFK Jr. was almost 10 when his uncle was assassinated, and his father was 15 when he was assassinated. And for reference, leftists hated RFK. His sister Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's Godfather is Sen. Joe McCarthy.

The thing that is truly important isn't that he told the truth -- it's that he engaged in open, public debates with people who strongly disagreed with him, in overwhelmingly unfriendly forums. That willingness to talk and reason with your ideological opponents is essential for a functioning republican form of government.

Charlie Kirk was a legitimate hero.

"...and his father was 15 when he was assassinated."

I think you meant to say,"and he was 15 when his father was assassinated." Yes?

I think Charlie Kirk had a pretty decent chance of being President one day.

He was too influential on college campuses and therefore had to be silenced. His interaction with students was a big reason Trump won so much of the youth vote.

“I think Charlie Kirk had a pretty decent chance of being President one day.”

Very possible.
I thought he may have been considering a run for Arizona governor for starters.

JFK was the ONLY democrat my Conservative parents EVER voted for.

I was only 4 years old when RFK was assassinated, but I remember Mom plunking me down in front of the TV for his funeral and her telling me that this was a VERY important day and to never forget it.

There is no middle ground. If you are an American you are either WITH God and all that is Holy, Bible-taught...or you are wrong and you need to GTFO!

I know what she was TRYING to teach me, but somehow I grew up with a total fear and loathing of Mother Government.

John Adams: ‘Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.’
