Well actually, the Ukrainians fired a missile into Poland and blamed Russia. Zelensky was so excited to have his war he kept insisting the missile was Russian even after Biden said it wasn't Russia, and Biden officials said analyzing the trajectory of the missile showed it came from Ukraine. For about a day Zelensky appeared to be the only one still insisting Russia attacked Poland with a missile. Maybe Biden threatened to cut his allowance if he wouldn't shut up. It was then excused as an anti-airfcraft shell - trying to imply it wouldn't have happened if Russia wasn't attacking them.There's at least one more incident I think- Z's men were attacking the Ukrainian nuke plant in Zaporizhzhya (incindiary drones) and blamed Russia. This happened while Russia had control of the plant and had soldiers around it, guarding it.

Russia repurposed the S-300 as a surface attack missile. It’s not impossible that the Z team did much the same thing.
