I believe President Trump would need to declare a state of emergency, maybe limited to Oregon, then declare martial law, and suspend habeous corpus. Then clean house, big time. For Chicago, Baltimore and Los Angeles too. Be bold, President Trump! Wait until after mid term elections, though. I would support you, but most would not, I fear.
I think the American people in majority will appreciate and the city locals especially, any effective intervention to improve their lives and draw visitors to now safer and more attractive locations to spend tourist dollars again.
For example, I’ve never been to San Francisco and would love to visit a safe and clean city there, with open businesses and attractions galore. Portland too!

WTF? Trump needs better advisors. I would’ve sent troops to Portland 1st. The FEDERAL courthouse in Portland was under siege for 77 days during his 1st term with ZERO PROSECUTIONS from that filthy traitor Barr and probably McConnell, who confirmed Barr. Trump needs better strategists.
I think his cleaning up crime in Democrat cities who tolerate it and do not care for Trump is a thankless task. They want their crime. Let them have it. Let them bask in their misery and concentrate on the rest of the nation.

A nearby resident sued the city to enforce the noise ordinance but Portland said they didn’t have to.
