WE should not wish to add India to the Axis of Evil. No need to make our enemies stronger. Lots of Indians have good reason to dislike the West and see Russia as their “friend” just as many Egyptians saw Nazi Germany as a natural ally.

I doubt very much Russia and China can be "friends". Here are some points to consider:

• India has 129 million English-speaking citizens, second only to the United States.
  
  
• Indian Americans are key leaders in America's technology business. The CEOs of Microsoft and Google for example.
  
  
• The Indian-American population is estimated at around 5.2 million people, with roughly 70% of them being U.S. citizens.
  
  
• The Chinese hate the idea of India rise to become a global manufacturing giant to compete with China.
