Two congressmen are reaching across the aisle in try to stop nitazenes — a deadly new Narcan-resistant synthetic opioid that is already causing a “new wave” of overdose deaths.
The Nitazene Control Act, introduced by Rep. Eugene Vindman (D-VA) and Rep. Michael Baumgartner (R-WA), seeks to get ahead of the problem by legally classifying it as a drug with no medical use and high overdose risk.
The bill would also close a loophole that allows some versions of the drug to fall outside laws banning synthetic opioids.

All of these claims of incredible potency and thus, toxicity, seem hyperbolic.
It would certainly be a chemical of mass casualty status. Seems much more toxic than “nerve gas”.
I wonder if these claims are true...
“All of these claims of incredible potency and thus, toxicity, seem hyperbolic.”
Incredibly potent stuff. Casualties dependent upon how distribution and downstream dealers dilute it (cut it). It’s in the dealers interests’ to dilute it to rational amounts so they make more money.
However the whole chain is dependent upon drug dealers knowing dosage amounts and acting rationally. Mistakes, sloppiness and stupidity happen.
Also — some users could be be far more sensitive than others etc.

I’M SO TIRED OF THIS $}{!T !!!
The good news is that there are several new pharmaceuticals/treatment options that are coming down the pike that don't have the same problems. Let's hope one of more of these are a success.
Which is more potent: Nitazenes or Carefentanyl?
