President Donald Trump’s administration this week told 40 states to eliminate parts of lessons that focus on LGBTQ+ issues from federally funded sexual education materials or that they will lose funding.

The move is the latest in a line of efforts since Trump returned to the White House in January to recognize people as only male or female and to eliminate what he calls “gender ideology.”

“Federal funds will not be used to poison the minds of the next generation or advance dangerous ideological agendas,” Acting Assistant Health and Human Service Secretary Andrew Gradison said in a statement.

It is a fair and interesting question. Ideally, children should be taught pertinent and accurate knowledge about their bodies and how we interact sexually with each other in order that our population sustains and increases and that diseases and mis adventures are avoided or minimized. What to do when parents are incapable of this so as to not let those children struggle with the consequences?

What has sex ed taught children except that sex is meaningless physical fun with no consequences and no higher purpose? Take sex ed out of all schools including high school. Parents can talk to their kids about sex and its part in their children’s future, or tell their kids that sex is meaningless fun if the parents are without morals. We should not be paying people to degrade a child’s mind and innocence. Sex Ed has done nothing positive for millions of young people. Taking it out of public education should save us American taxpayers money and keep our children safer from adults with hidden agendas. Stealing our children’s innocence is a crime and should be prosecuted.
