A Republican election official from North Carolina is accused of spiking his granddaughters’ ice cream with pills, according to officials.
Sixty-six-year-old James Edwin Yokeley Jr. has been charged with contaminating food or drink with a controlled substance and felony child abuse, according to a recent press release from the Wilmington Police Department. On August 8, Yokeley Jr. informed a police officer he flagged down at a Sheetz gas station that his two granddaughters found hard objects in ice cream they’d purchased from Dairy Queen, the release stated.
Medical personnel checked the two girls and determined they had not ingested any harmful substances. The pills were then tested, and results indicated they were illegal narcotics, the same release states.

WTF?
What??
If accurate, toss him in with all the other child abusers and don’t let him see the light of day. Ever.
He put them in there and when accidentally found, he blames it on DQ employees with the police.
Sounds like he was after a pay day from the DQ.
There is almost no way to come back to trustworthiness after something like this happens. The Granddaughters will never feel the same about Grandpa ever again! The parents would not allow it now, anyway.
In his short statement to the press, I didn’t see any kind of denial or accusation of ‘somebody else’ putting those medications into the ice cream. Who else was even around to drop the capsules into the ice cream before it started to melt? Nobody. Nobody else was around them.
Either he’s a serious doper, a pervert, or his judgement has begun to unravel, i.e. Alzheimer style.
“Sounds like he was after a pay day from the DQ.”
Agree.
Yeah that’s bizarre. I’m curious what exactly does Republican election official mean?

This sounds like a dangerous twist on the old “hair in my soup” scam. As in:
“Ew! I just found a nasty hair in my soup! My lawyer is going to sue you for thousands!”
Of course the hair was put there by the customer. Pebbles and bugs have been used, too.
That’s pretty deviant to roofie your own granddaughter. Millstone… neck. Some assembly required.

1. Accusatory Hit piece aimed at republican.
Or
2. Rino accused of...

A real conservative Republican wouldn’t do this
That’s my take also.
These days, false accusations are not as uncommon as one might expect.
The Ds and other communists are absolutely addicted to pushing false narratives for their own gain.
Who knows what goes on in the election scene in North Carolina, given the history of the democrat party there.
He once volunteered as a poll watcher, could have been 30 years ago. Just my guess......
He did not let the girls eat any of the ice cream.
So, he's not a child abuser, just a slimy crook trying to get rich.
