A federal judge has denied the federal government’s request to delay the significant dismantling of the South Florida detention facility—also known as Alligator Alcatraz—at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.
In a previous order, the judge had halted the transfer of detainees to the center, stopped new construction, and ordered the removal of some aspects of the facility.
U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams of the District Court for the Southern District of Florida released her decision on Aug. 27, after attorneys for the Department of Homeland Security and the Florida Division of Emergency Management submitted a motion to stay her preliminary injunction because of their pending appeal.

Ignore this judge.
Dare Roberts to do something.
L
It’s going to come to that, BUT that’s what the left is wanting. So then they can claim Trump is violating oath of office and ignoring court orders.
That’s why Roberts hasn’t smacked down these judges. They are doing this at his approval.
In which of the “Federalist Papers” does Hamilton or Madison tell people not to worry about the President having too much power, because any one judge in the country will always be able to block a Presidential initiative?
set it up in the judges neighborhood.
Put them on boats.
Alligator Alcatraz can never truly close if we keep it in our hearts forever.
I don’t see how a judge can order that it be dismantled. She can order that no one get put in it, but I don’t see how she has the authority to say it should be torn down.
The "news" these days is just the slow realtime in-progress swamp draining.
In the car, I often listen to the enemedia thru NPR. I think it quite remarkable that embedded in their Trump whinings about NG to Chicago, NPR mentioned this could be accomplished thru the Insurrection Act.
I would have added to that the mostly-unknownst, but knownst to Trump and his team, about PEADS.
That'll take care of habeas corpus for the swamp dwellers.
Exactly - right next door
Trump prides himself on following the law, so he won’t ignore the judges order.
He’ll likely put in an emergency appeal to stay the order.
Uh, why is this assclowns ruling being listened too?
Is this overreach ever gonna stop? I’m getting sick and tired of logging in here to FR and seeing article after article about judicial activists working against Trump.
Have you read the Judge’s decision?
How many divisions does this judge command?
It has succeeded so far and served it's purpose. Illegals are on notice that the US is getting serious about detention and deportation and this case is clear Judicial overreach.
The judges decision will b overturned on appeal and set yet another precedent that will affirm President Trumps deportation powers and clear the deck for larger scale deportations in the future.
Most important, these types of judicial defiance and driving public support for deportation higher and higher and public sympathy for illegal aliens lower and lower with American voters.
Tell us Fury what wisdom do you poses that us rubes do not?
Nice turd polishing.
