SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP/Atlanta News First) — One of the nation’s leading operators of automated license-plate reading systems announced Monday it has paused its operations with federal agencies because of confusion and concern about the purpose of their investigations.
The Atlanta-based Flock Safety, whose cameras are mounted in more than 4,000 communities nationwide, put a hold last week on pilot programs with the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection and its law enforcement arm, Homeland Security Investigations, according to a statement by its founder and CEO, Garrett Langley.
Flock Safety’s cameras capture billions of photos of license plates each month.

As if abortion and illegal immigration aren't directly related to human trafficking and fentanyl distribution.
FAFO.....just a matter of time.
Bankrupt them. /spit
I’m sure some other company will be happy to work with the Feds. Or maybe some of their sharper employees will spin off to do the work?
Suicide by activism
Hope they aren't using Federal Dollars for those roads, then.
Prosecute them under 18 USC § 4.
Sounds like they hire illegals. Hmmmmm.
Time to put them out of business.
So, it’s okay to spy on American citizens, but not keep track of illegal aliens?
Somebody putting acid in the water?
Time to cancel culture club their cameras.
More fodder for the Soros RICO prosecution.
The stupidity of companies nowadays is breathtaking.
Take a good look at the history of Flock Safety.
It has an intetesting timeline.
The ATL suburb I used to live in had Flock cameras on all the major roads in/out at least 6-8 years ago. They nailed a bunch of stolen cars and some pretty serious violent felons with outstanding warrants because of the system.
Al tracking tech needs to go away. We are not a free country. It is nobody’s business where I drive to and from or where I purchase items. One movie comes to mind “Minority Report” where they track everyone based on eye scanner as numerous as trees.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety - Ben Franklin
No reason Flock cameras should be given permits to operate on Federally owned roadways/highways then.
Sounds like a HUGE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FOR THEIR COMPETITORS............................
These stupid @$$holes. What did they think was going to happen if they started producing "big brother" spy cameras?
They've let the genie out of the bottle. They won't be able to stuff it back in.
