The Dems here in Iowa know how to campaign .
For governor they have golden boy, Rob Sand.
He’s running a good campaign that makes him just a good old aw schucks Iowan.
But that’s a fraud.
He’s backed by $7,000,000 from his rich Des Moines in-laws .
Super liberals.
He should be charged with mis use of his current office.
He used it to campaign against Kim Reynolds for three years.
He’s a big phony

Literally NO ONE knew there was even an election last night that is why hardly anyone came out to vote. Look at the number of those who voted, its very small, and everyone knows that GOP voters dont come out in elections like this Which is a major problem. There's a war raging and our side doesn't even send the troops to the field = losing.

Then again, perhaps it is possible the GOP candidate actually is as terrible as this article claims and the GOP voters deliberately sat at home to passively allow this candidate to lose as in the long run it would be better for the GOP.

45% of Hispanics voted for Trump and his polls have gone up among Hispanics since deportation began.

Then that is an indictment on the Republican Party not getting their voters off their behinds to vote. If you can’t take care of the small local issues then your just inept. Those small issues ballon into HOR and the Senate.

Local elections are more important at a micro level daily operational processes than national elections. Bottom up, not bottom down if you want a continuous healthy structured society.

Why didn’t we know about this race? Could more have been done if people knew about it?

That needs to change. We need to show up for every election no matter how small, or we'll lose everything we worked so hard to gain.

They could not beat the original senator but the tried every election for more than a decade. He had to die to open the field.

The Republican running in his place is NOT an extremist, just unknown.

The democrat was a perennial who ran multiple times. I think it’s a case of the devil you know versus the one you don’t.

Not surprising.

Trump can win a district by 60-70%, yet the local schoolboard is dominated by left wing crazy democrats. So-called conservatives are too lazy to get off their fat, useless asses and vote in local elections.

Usually those school board elections are done in the off years. This is so they can make the claim school board elections are nonpartisan. So left wing politics sneaks in the back door. The off year elections means the turnout is dominated by leftist true believers.

I think there is a better way to frame it than the way he did it. It is off putting, and obviously counter productive.

That’s on the GOP, then. There is no excuse for such screw ups.

Which is why I'll expect them to do well in the midterms. They may win 5 more seats but fall sort of the majority in the House.

“A Democratic candidate has defeated an extremist Republican”

They have a “Democratic candidate.” We have an “extremist Republican.”

A Democrat who believes in infanticide isn’t an extremist but a pro lifer who compares abortion to Mass murder is.
