Trump calls Baltimore a 'hellhole' during cabinet meeting

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore has disputed President Donald Trump’s characterization of Baltimore.

President Donald Trump described Baltimore as a "hellhole" while talking about crime during Tuesday's cabinet meeting.

The president was addressing Maryland Governor Wes Moore's invitation to walk the streets with him when he made the comment.

"I'm not walking in Baltimore right now," President Donald Trump said. "Baltimore is a hellhole."

Following President Trump's order for the National Guard to respond to crime in Washington, he has suggested a similar move in other cities, including Chicago, New York and potentially Baltimore.

Moore has disputed President Trump’s characterization of Baltimore.

“The last time the homicide rate was this low in Baltimore city, I wasn’t born yet,” the 46-year-old said over the weekend on CNN. He added, "I will never activate members of our National Guard for theatrics.”

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has also criticized President Trump for suggesting he would send the National Guard to Chicago.

“What President Trump is doing is unprecedented and unwarranted,” Pritzker said at a news conference on Monday. “It is illegal. It is unconstitutional. It is un-American.”

Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson pointed to declining crime rates but said they welcome federal collaboration on public safety efforts.

"Listen to what our people are actually calling for. We're calling for investments, resources," Johnson said. "This stunt that this president is attempting to execute is not real. It doesn't help drive us to a more safe, affordable big city."

Trump has noted several big cities are krapped up etcetera. NYC, Chicago St. Louis WashedUpDC, S.F., LA, ….
But are there enough National Guards to clean them all up? At once?

The genius of Trump.

He is playing offense on an issue that is at least 2 to 1 in his favor.

And Trump has the Dems playing defense on an issue that is 2 to 1 against them.

No, I’m not tired of winning.

My wife, my daughter (who drove us there), and I went to Baltimore yesterday for a doctor’s appointment at UM Hospital...
We had to walk 2 blocks from the parking garage...
No problem... I did not wear my MAGA hat and Alligator Alcatraz T-shirt...

However, the nailbiting ride there in one of Elon’s outrageously expensive, self-driving, red cars left me appreciating our 2005 Ford 500 and its safety & comfort...

"What did they do to repair the bridge?"

Nothing!
In fact, they are starting to tear all of the remaining bridge down... Good! That was a nerve-racking bridge to begin with...

Then they are building a whole new suspension bridge in a slightly different location... Probably be the 2030s before it is completed...

About 50 years ago I went through Baltimore at night. It was the only city I had been in that I thought was worse than Detroit (at that time).

Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson pointed to declining crime rates...

When Democrats claim "declining crime rates," do they mean that they are changing the definition of crime to artificially reduce the crime rate?

Are they defining some homicides as accidents? Not reporting as much crime by reducing felonies to misdemeanors?

What are the real statistics on crime in Baltimore?

You miss the point. How much $ were they given by the money laundering govt to repair it?

Ok...
The dollars...

Well, I’d bet that whatever there is, regardless of where it comes from, the MD gangsters (politicians and their business friends) will fill their offshore accounts to overflow before the first physical construction begins...

So far, I haven’t located a source showing the funding for either the dismantling of the first bridge remains (good riddance), or the construction of the suspension bridge...

That’s funny

Trump said he wanted to see what Moore did with the money, after he queried about his bronze star questioning the events of that

A quick google showed:
“ Funding for the Francis Scott Key Bridge is coming primarily from the U.S. federal government, with a comprehensive federal spending bill in late 2024 allocating the full cost for the bridge’s replacement, estimated at $1.7 billion to $1.9 billion. The Biden administration initially provided $60 million in emergency funds, and Congress has now passed a bill to cover the entire replacement cost as part of disaster relief funding”

This corrupt gang and I mean the widespread government doesn’t repaid very much
