President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are allegedly planning to ban the COVID vaccine “within months,” years after Trump labeled the vaccine’s development during the pandemic as a “monumental achievement,” according to an associate of Kennedy’s.
Newsweek reached out to HHS via email for comment.
Trump said in December 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, that the development of a vaccine as part of Operation Warp Speed was a “historic” success.
He commended doctors, scientists, industry executives, and state and local leaders for expediting the process and mass distributing an initiative that later garnered criticism from a portion of his political base, along with questions and concerns about the vaccine’s efficacy and potential health impacts.
Kennedy has faced criticism from some for his past remarks about vaccine safety and efficacy, which have been labeled as misleading and false. He has stated he is not “anti-vaccine.”
Earlier this month, Kennedy announced a departmental decision to pull a total of $500 million in federal funding for 22 mRNA vaccine development projects “because the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu.”
The potential phasing out of the COVID-19 vaccine is coming in the next few months, Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist, vaccine skeptic and Kennedy associate, told the Daily Beast, adding that Kennedy’s stance is shared by “influential” members of Trump’s family.
Malhotra, a leading adviser to the lobby group MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) Action, said that many of those closest to Kennedy have told him they “cannot understand” why the vaccine continues to be prescribed.

Trump was being cued in by Fauci back then......a man who has now been found wanting.
It was a monumental achievement...at the time. Neither he nor the vast majority of us, including medical doctors, knew what the dire cost was going to be.
Trump reacted as he was expected to as Commander in Chief, but there were side effects of those vaccines no one (virtually no one) knew about until after they were in wide distribution.
Some of that collateral damage could not be avoided, due to the panic and uncertainty of that era.
For many, the social effects of the Covid Era were worse than the virus. Mandatory Shots or jobs taken away. Isolation, detachment, overbearing and bossy behavior by the Control Freak that lives within all of us.
School missed, lessons never to be fully learnt.

Has the power of the HHS gone too far? Maybe we should not expect the HHS to be perfect, nor the role of the HHS secretary to make decisions that should be decisions of the individual and the doctor and other advisors sought.

Trump thought at the time that the vaccine would save lives and allow everyone to go out and live their lives again, he was told a bunch of lies from Fauci, now he knows better I doubt he will care if the vaccine is banned good riddance its harmed enough people

The mRNA experimental garbage uses YOUR ribosomes to generate proteins that your immune system will allegedly use to help fight the Covid bugs.
Many problems exist, including suspected misfolded proteins and also generation of Frankenstein peptides and proteins which no sane person would want their cellular machinery to manufacture.
One could argue that people who take the mRNA shots are volunteering to be (sort of) GMOs; and if that's scary, good.
That said, the Novavax Covid vaccine, a protein-based vaccine, in a shot that does not take over your body's cellular machinery to create anything. I've taken the Novavax shot for three years with no Covid and no side effects.
Maybe mRNA vaccine technology will be used again down the road. But not until further admission of the full extent of the medical issues it can and does cause, and scientific research that conquers those issues.
It my own case in caused massive development of the immune system cytokine, IL-17A, which is a known protagonist in the autoimmune issue known as psoriasis. Try fighting psoriasis everywhere on your body for 9 months of a year without taking the general immune system depressing drugs often prescribed for psoriasis. There are other autoimmune issues the mRNA vaccines excited as well as very well recognized increases in myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle), especially among younger men and teen boys.
Meanwhile, the medical R&D about vaccines has to go into how to come up with and make faster the standard vaccines for viruses like Flu and Covid.

It never ceases to amaze me how people in journalism” with no real world accomplishments always arrogantly presume to stand in judgement over those who do.
