These people complaining reminds me of a video story I saw on the local news in Nashville in the late 80’s, early 90’s. The cops were sweeping a housing project arresting everyone dealing drugs, or who had an open warrant. It was reported that in this project sexual assaults were rampant, and it wasn’t safe to go outside at night. There was a group of teenage girls sitting on the stoop watching the police do their work, and the reporter asked them what they thought about it. And the spokesman for the group said “I think it’s just turrible! They’re arresting our boys!”.

I think DC is much the same.
1) Trump is doing it, so it must be bad.
2) They’re arresting all these black people, so it must be racist in nature.
3) They’re arresting our boys.

Reminds me of how outraged I was that the City was going to destroy a 1 acre neglected urban woods next to my low income housing building. I was crying and screaming bloody murder until it came to me that the 400 car underground parking garage they will going to build and the green plaza playground capping it was going to increase the value of my building by about 100%. Duh.

The DC libs may not like seeing guys with guns and uniforms but it is a lot better than just seeing the guns and masks.

I am way behind on ways that people use in efforts to influence the media. I have heard of astro-turf in regard to grass roots and the term rent a mob, but always thought these terms were rhetoric without substance. Now I find out renting agitators is a viable business. Besides Crowds on Demand I wonder how many other vendors, who are not nearly as up front, provide such services.
