Protesters continue to blast the Trump administration’s takeover of policing in Washington, D.C., likening it to an "invasion" even as crime plummets.
Demonstrators, who did not appear to be part of a specific organization while on a pedestrian bridge on the I-95 in Virginia near the city this week, said that "our systems are being assaulted."
"What the problem is, is that these are the National Guard are like my friends' sons and daughters," one woman told Fox News Digital. "It's their time away from their family. The money being wasted to make a point is really sort of disgraceful and un-American because they're sending them against actual Americans with weapons. And it's really an invasion. And we're not Russia, we're the United States of freaking America."

These leftist protesters are simply lying, murdering traitors to the United States of America.
They are haters.
It can’t be emphasized enough everything about crime is to protect the drug cartels.
What Trump is doing is bad for drug business.
Some people protest just to protest. Some are even paid to.
But in DC, some protests are tied to something deeper: connections to the vast criminal enterprise running through the city’s ghettos. Billions in illicit cash move through those neighborhoods—drugs, stolen goods, and especially stolen cars.
If really an invasion, would they allow protests?
Do they really think we forget the months the National Guard were sleeping in parking garages, “defending” the Capitol against the return of the “insurrectionists” in 2021? BTW, what about crime stats at that time?
I remember an “invasion” of 30 million illegal aliens between 2020-2024.
Whatever it is…these are not people who live in DC or in crime infested communities. A GPS review of where they are actually from, would be interesting.
9 days now without a DC murder has saved perhaps a dozen lives or more
The Guard has to drill somewhere, why send them to a foreign country?
Many in DC are grateful crime is being addressed properly after decades of zilch from the “elected local libsocs”.
It’s Liberation
These people are all paid. They likely live outside DC
“Protesters”
How much were they paid.

DC is the seat of the US federal government.
How do you “invade” your own territory?
The true invaders are the cockroaches that swarm in there to destroy everything they touch.
I kinda like this clause.
She misplaced the prepositional phrase "with weapons".
Read out of context, it sounds like gun grabbers have come to take our weapons.
Have to be careful not to misplace a prepositional phrase as Groucho Marx hilariously pointed out.
I think it was his character of Colonel Spaulding who said, "I just shot an elephant in my pajamas, and how he got in my pajamas I will never know."
Mass media thrives on the ensuing chaos.
Correction:
Paid protestors
Perhaps more of a response to an invasion?
Now you can protest without predatory invaders assaulting you?
Washington DC doesn’t want to lose their status as a city with one of America’s highest murder rates.
Trump is now targeting Chicago for same treatment and Brandon Johnson is already raising hell - he also wants to keep up Chicago’s high murder rate.
“Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has strongly opposed President Donald Trump’s proposed anti-crime measures, particularly the plan to deploy National Guard troops to the city, arguing that such actions would undermine local public safety efforts and destabilize the community.”
Not as much time as if their family were to get murdered by the domestic savages.
Is illegal aliens an invasion? Is Fed police in a a Fed district invasion? Do we use words like “invasion” to be taken literally? or just to emphasize a trend because accurate lesser words would be overlooked?
Ads on my TV always exaggerate. Our language deteriorates due to excessive exaggeration. What can we do?
