Fascist’ is not a synonym for ‘someone you don’t like.’
I’m not going to recite the whole thing, because it was banal and stupid on a level you good people shouldn’t be subjected to, but on social media Thursday after I noted the interesting fact that Washington, D.C. had gone a full week without a homicide, an obvious consequence of President Trump’s decision to federalize law enforcement there, I found myself subjected to the same treatment that Trump officials seem to be getting.
Namely, this…
A deranged leftist entered the thread to first admit that the federalization of Washington’s police had produced results, and then to admit that DC’s black community seems very much to enjoy the heightened security of their neighborhoods — after all, robberies have been cut in half, carjackings by 5/6ths, and violent crime overall by 22 percent along with the sudden cessation of murders, and these are positive developments inuring disproportionately to the benefit of Washington’s beleagured black citizens who have borne the brunt of the longstanding lawlessness on the streets of the nation’s capital. But then he said it wouldn’t last.
And insisted that this was “fascism,” and that with so many uniformed men with guns patrolling Washington, the city looks like Pakistan. (RELATED: The Spectacle Ep. 258: Democrats Don’t Want Donald Trump to Save DC)
Then came the coup de grâce, which was a suggestion that Trump invest in more community centers in D.C.
It’s been said that the city’s police force is some 300 officers short of its full complement of law enforcement officials. So supplementing it with ICE, DEA, ATF, and FBI agents and — the horror! — National Guardsmen from several states around the country...

I’ve started using “post-modern types” and “nihilists” as a generic political classification of leftists. At least it makes people think and some even ask “what do you mean?”
One has got to stay ahead of the curve and keep ideas fresh.
Worst. Fascist. Regime. Ever.
This is the first “fascist” regime that’s trying to decentralize the Federal government, promote free speech, allow civilian gun owner rights, defund state-run media, and reduce involvement in foreign wars.
The Italian blackshirts, the squadristi, had an effective treatment for noisome socialists, early on. A small group would corner them, then encourage them to drink a quart of crude castor oil. A strong laxative.
It seemed to be very effective at lowering their volume.
Women... screaming at Hegseth. Women, five women carrying that sign.
They are the leaders and big margin of every psycho destructive thing to hit America in the last few decades.
The clenched fist salute they’re making tells me they’re more like communists, but the end result is pretty much the same—death and destruction of liberty.
It is funny calling someone by the name of a third rate political party of 1930s Italy.
I like “nihilist”. It aptly describes the dark place of unwellness to which atheist postmoderns choose to assign their mind, will, and emotion (i. e. their soul).
Even the Germans were called “Fascists” instead of “Nazis”, because the Communists didn’t want to acknowledge that Nazis were fellow Socialists.
Trump does it too, which always bothers me when I see it.
Doesn't offend me.
Union Station eh? Hey we’re keeping the trains on time! :)
It’s best used on leftists. It’s really about the only insult that has any effect on them.
The photographer who took it got the Pulitzer for the one with the vapor trail of the bullet.
These women believe that in a fascist regime, they can freely insult fascist politicians without any consequence.
That’s telling about how well they know fascism.
But you know, Christopher "Fey" Wray referred to it as not really a bullet, merely "shrapnel". I hope Fey gets the full "treatment".
