Lucy Connolly has today been released from prison after being jailed for writing a 'racist' tweet during last summer's riots.
The mother had spent more than nine months behind bars after admitting making the inflammatory post on X in the wake of the Southport attacks in July last year.
Connolly, who is the wife of Tory councillor Ray Connolly, pleaded guilty to a charge of inciting racial hatred and was handed a 31-month sentence in October.

No, they didn’t vote for it. That is the problem.
They voted for Brexit. They voted for the Conservative party that promised to do something about illegal immigration.
NEITHER has been respected by the WEF political elite, to the contrary, they just doubled down - more illegal immigration and contracts with the EU that are arguably worse than being in the EU. Those they can vote for have been chosen for them.
They were never asked about the mass imports of Muslims. It’s just been dumped on them. Now the cowardice politicians arrest those that speak out because there’s so many influential Muslims that threaten ‘unrest’ unless something is done about the ‘Islamophobia’. They vote as a block, giving themselves disproportionate influence.
The two-tiered policing can’t even be debated anymore. The media has finally failed. The canceling of people under the ‘racist’ label no longer works, it’s too obvious what is happening.
So now they find themselves without free speech, unarmed, with nobody to vote for that represents them. There’s the new Reform Party, under Nigel Farage, but he’s just an opportunist - already bending the knee to Muslims. Now there’s Advance UK, endorsed by Tommy Robinson, who is loved by many but is still a polarizing figure.
So it’s all just a mess and is a long way from being fixed with voting, it never mattered who they voted for and now things are so fragmented, like a broken family, good luck fixing it. Many now highlighting the inevitable civil war coming soon.
Letting Lucy out is, imo, just to placate the masses in an attempt to calm things down, right before the massive rally planned for Sept. 13th.
Having been born and raised there, the British spirit I know has been trampled on, using their own sense of civility against them - done over decades. But no, they did NOT vote for this. They’ve been betrayed and sold out by traitors - very much as the D’s and establishment have been doing here. What has saved us is a very clear, easy to understand, 1A and 2A. They do not have those.
