A progressive Chicago politician is facing backlash for galavanting around Nashville as her district was “devastated” by severe storms and heavy flooding.
Alderwoman Stephanie D. Coleman (D) showed off in a glamorous yellow dress, gold jewelry, a bulky watch and an expensive Chanel vanity bag during her trip to the 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards.
Coleman, 37, flaunted the dazzling ensemble in multiple social media posts, several including her twirling her dress around on the street and strutting through a hallway like a runway model. As she “pranced” around Music City, the Windy City was ravaged by multiple thunderstorms over 17 hours between Aug. 16 and 17.

IMO that doesn’t matter here. So, what if she was out of town? It sounded like she had left before the “rain”. I doubt had she gone straight back she could have been able to do anything anyways and besides flights would have been delayed too boot. You can’t sit around and plan trips based on what weather may happen.

Why should someone not just be able to enjoy life without worrying about responsibilities? Just because the people who elected her to represent them are having tough times doesn’t mean she should stop living her life. There isn’t a whole lot she can do about the weather and addressing the damage can wait until Monday.
