Russia launched 270 drones and 10 missiles against Ukraine on August 19, in a kinetic response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's White House talks with US President Donald Trump and key European allies.
Ukrainian regional officials said that over 24 hours Russian shelling across the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions had claimed the lives of 15 people and injured at least 76 more.
It was reported that the Poltava region was hit particularly hard, leaving over 1,500 residents without electricity. In Chernihiv, drones damaged infrastructure and disrupted power supplies.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha condemned Russia's attacks, calling them "the opposite of peace," while "hard work to advance peace was under way in Washington."

It’s always the custom to increase attacks and try to get more leverage / land before haggling the details of peace talks.
No, that’s what no ceasefire looks like. Why would they just unilaterally do a ceasefire?

Calling him from the middle of a meeting with European leaders and spending *45 minutes* (!!) while Putin remained noncommittal. He's done everything the opposite of what he wrote in Art of the Deal. Putin knows Trump is desperate for a deal and showing one weakness after another. Why should he relent ?? Trump should go read his own book.

Rush Limbaugh explained well what the troops in a military conflict do: they kill people and break things.
Give Russia the territory they control/want, implement ironclad NATO security guarantees, with sanctions if necessary, and stop the killing.
Z does the same thing! If they both destroy each other the world is a better place.
No NATO in Ukraine.
Spare us the fake outrage. The last thing you want is peace.
Ukraine either agrees to any deal it can get or it will lose everything east of the Dnieper river.
If Ukraine doesn't do that, Trump must walk away from Ukraine and get us out of this war.

Yes, Russia always wants territory, that’s why Russia is so big today. It has stolen territories for centuries.
Zelensky has massive leverage.
Proof: In three years Russia, despite all its war machine, despite its massive military aid from the Islamic State of Iran, despite tens of thousands communist North Korean troops helping the Kremlin, despite massive financial aid from Communist China, has only managed to take 1% of extra land area in Ukraine - losing 5 to 10 times more soldiers than Ukraine.

In the mean time, Ukraine is demolishing the Russian oil refineries, on a large scale, all over Russia with longs distance Ukrainian-made weapons.
Why do you think Putin is desperately willing to negotiate now so suddenly? Because Russia’s oil revenues are plunging dramatically. Russia can’t continue this endlessly, or they’ll have to endure yet another revolution.
Ukraine is very creative, every minute it produces large quantities of highly efficient attack drones, which America and EU do not even have yet.
