A TV anchor at a local CBS station in Boston claims she was demoted from her job because she is a white woman — and alleged she fell victim to a “DEI agenda” that was raging out of control across the Tiffany Network, according to a bombshell lawsuit.
Katherine Merrill Dunham, a longtime anchor for CBS affiliate WBZ-TV known on air as Kate Merrill, filed suit against the station’s corporate parents CBS and Paramount Global this month alleging that she was run out of the newsroom to satisfy corporate diversity quotas. The 51-year-old Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, who is married to ex-Rangers goalie Mike Dunham, stunned viewers last year when she quit the station without explanation.
In her Aug. 5 suit filed in Boston federal court, Merrill alleged she was targeted by managers who said the morning show was “too white” and by co-workers who filed “malicious” race-based complaints against her. The lawsuit cites exclusive reporting by The Post of then-CBS News president Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, who was accused of using her clout to promote minorities while unfairly sidelining white journalists during her tenure.

Did she say anything conservative or cancellable-ly Christian ?
Otherwise, no. Employers have a right to hire who they want…Can’t just scream DEI every time.
Some of it is a youth thing too.
She may be barking up the wrong tree—if she was replaced by a hot young twenty something female....
There are way too many minorities on local programs they show by us against white males and females. Black females 6% of the population and we’re nearly 50% our high school dropout are all over the place. Give me a break.
I’m glad to see people fighting back
I do not think it is possible today to make a studio produced movie these days with an all white cast.
Such as: The remake of The Magnificent Seven or the new Captain America.
I thought I read black women are much more likely to go to college than black males?

What good is it to be a mere T A when what “they” want is a TAMI?

And don’t get me started on TV commercials. A Freeper of Scandinavian descent said if someone from there visited America, he would think the US was 50% black people, based on the TV ads.
If the part involves someone of questionable intelligence or of low character, it’s OK to use a white guy.
By the same token, we should be grateful for the Russians. They’re the last group that can play the bad guys.
8/18/2025: The World Economic Forum (WEF) has elected BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and Roche Holding vice-chair Andre Hoffmann to serve as interim co-chairs of its board.
Couldn’t any sane human being be a “news anchor”. Sitting and reading stuff? What skill is that?
You had your day. I remember when it was a big deal that ABC forced Barbara Walters to join Harry Reasoner for ABC News (pre=World News Tonight). She added nothing to the show. Her voice is famously unclear for a news reader.
Now you have had your day, and it is time for the “next thing”.
Maybe you don’t realize, women have outnumbered men in college since 1980.
Group | % Attend College (18–24) | % Graduate College (Bachelor's, Age 25–34) | % Earn High School Diploma (Age 25+) |
---|---|---|---|
Black Men | 33% | 26% | 88% |
Black Women | 38% | 38% | 89% |
White Men | 41% | 42% | 93% |
White Women | 45% | 52% | 94% |
I thought A_Former_Democrat meant that 50% of black women drop out of high school, but this shows a much lower percentage.
