The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said Harjinger Singh is being charged with Vehicular Homicide
FT. PIERCE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles announced Saturday the arrest of a semi-truck driver following a deadly crash Florida's Turnpike in St. Lucie County on Aug. 12.
FLHSMV says the driver, Harjinger Singh, was driving "recklessly and without regard for the safety of others on the road."
According to The Florida Highway Patrol's report, Singh attempted to make an illegal u-turn near mile-marker 170, which resulted in a mini-van crashing into the side of the commercial semi-truck.
Two passengers inside the minivan, a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach and a 54-year-old man from Miami, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Chrysler, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Florida State Troopers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for three counts of vehicular homicide. During the investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) alongside State Troopers discovered Singh had been in the U.S. illegally since 2018.
According to FLHSMV, Singh crossed the Mexico border illegally and had obtained a Commercial Driver's License in the state of California.
FLHSMV Executive Director Dave Kerner said, "Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever."
Kerner added, "Harjinger Singh is in custody on state vehicular homicide charges and immigration violations. He will no longer be able damage and destroy the lives of Floridians and visitors."

That doesn't show skill, it shows stupidity.
At least around here the Indians slap "student driver" stickers on their new $70,000 cars so you know to stay clear of them.

There are some horrifying dashcam vids from big rigs that show this.
Drivers will be approaching a sea of brake lights on the freeway, or the road is iced up, but no problem! Just keep rolling at 80mph.
Thanks for the reminder.
I’ll watch for those.
Shouldn’t Newsome be charged with aiding and abetting?
I’m not a lawyer, but for the life of me I don’t understand why the legality of sanctuary jurisdictions has never been challenged. It’s one thing to talk about withholding federal funding. That’s all well and good, but going after sanctuary jurisdictions legally, with criminal penalties for those who enforce them, is ultimately what’s needed.
Our constitution establishes federalism. The federal government has certain rights and the states have certain rights. Immigration falls under the purview of the federal government. States are not allowed to set immigration policy any more than they’re allowed to declare war. Local sanctuary laws violate that.
Yep. Ridiculous. It should have been part of the headline.
It's not a regular Commercial Driver's License. It's a Non-Domicile Commercial Driver's License. It's kind of like getting a Non-resident CCW from Virginia. CA DMV did some deal with Biden to hand them out all over country to people with little to non knowledge of big rig driving and little to no ability to speak English (itself a violation of Federal Law).
No one in California seems to know about this as there appears to be an embargo on reporting it (except for Breitbart). My wife didn't believe me when I told her. I'd would say OR-NV-AZ should set up checkpoints to check for them but it wouldn't work as CA handed these out like Halloween candy all over the country. A shame really as a CDL in CA for a resident is difficult to obtain to say the least. Other states need to do like Arkansas and conduct English proficiency tests at weigh stations with impediment and fines when caught.

Kinda says it all. I know, they were talking about the driver’s recklessness, but ...
And don't forget the Indian driver, hang him too.
He's confused as to why he's even being arrested. In India, this wouldn't even be a crime. Just pay a little baksheesh to the authorities and chuck the bodies into the Ganges.
Newsome has the blood of many Americans on his hands. Remember this?

While there is no excuse for giving an illegal alien a CDL, running a small trucking company out of a home is not that unusual.
In my work I have dealt with owner-operators run out of a home with the driver’s wife working as office manager/dispatcher while her husband is on the road.
What company was he driving for?

I think part of it is due to legal shenanigans. The state doesn’t come out and declare legal sanctuary; rather it restricts its local law enforcement to the point that they establish de facto sanctuary state or city. That is much harder to challenge.
Must not have been outlaw bikers he hit. The ones he didn’t hit would have killed him dead right there.
