Top British Army Officer Predicts Civil War as ‘Rabbit in Headlights’ Leaders Incapable of Political Solutions
Breitbart ^ | 16 Aug 2025 | OLIVER JJ LANE

Retired British Army Colonel Richard Kemp has said the primary risk the UK faces is from an alliance “of the hard left and Islamist extremists” and that he fears civil war because politicians are too myopic to take action.

Colonel Richard Kemp, a high-profile Infantry officer who fought counter insurgency on home ground in Northern Ireland in the 1980s, served in the Gulf war and Bosnia, commanded an Afghanistan operation, and who had political-facing senior roles in Westminster including the powerful Joint Intelligence Committee and the Cabinet Office crisis centre COBRA, has expressed concern about unrest and even civil war potentially breaking out in Britain.

The Colonel’s comments in many regards echo those by top academic David Betz, professor of war in the modern world at King’s College London’s prestigious War Studies department, who says his research has led him to believe the classic preconditions for civil war are already present in many Western nations, and particularly the UK.

When a muslim was elected mayor of London I could see the writing on the wall.

And wait ‘till it happens in NYC.....nothing good will come of that, in any way, shape, form or fashion.

Not surprised if this happens considering what Perfidious Albion has been doing since the 1950s.

Initially I thought... "Who cares? It's NYC and it's already a sh&thole?"

But then it occurred to me that, like always, the leftists will expect the rest of us to pay for their screw-up.

England had centuries of political disruption. That was a while ago, and I don’t really think it will return, but it might.

I believe some thought was given in the early 1970s to a political coup. Mountbatten was at least somewhat involved. There is a scene in The Crown when Mountbatten (Charles Dance) explain to a roomful of important people why a coup in the UK would be just about impossible. But he then transitions his discussion to the power of the monarchy. Technically, the monarch in Britain has very little political power. But, he explains, there are some rarely used powers, and the question of tradition, and the allegiance of the military directly to the sovereign that could make a difference. Mountbatten refers to Elizabeth II as “our Caesar”. In the end. Mountbatten rejected any talk of a coup.

I don’t think Charles III would or could make a power play. But I think there is an outside chance that William would consider it.

The UK is dying and everyone sees it.

I just returned from London, the east side is predominantly all Muslim. The locals call it Little Bangladesh.

He is at odds with the King being secretly sympathetic to Islam.

I suspect Charles and other elitists harbor a disdain for pluralism, and have thus abetted its cacophony to be settled from the top only after it has fostered its self-immolation.

It is a wicked fantasy.

Reminds of me Chile in @1971

Although it’s not the Soviets this time, the British nonetheless face forced integration into a satanic, globalist, internationalist, anti-Christian collectivist cult, which intends to wipe out their nation, its economy, its history and identity. They have seized control of the levers of power, control the media, and most institutions.

Will the nationalists/traditionalists stand up?

I’m sorry to say, it’s not merely about just “voting them out of power.” If that’s even possible, it would be only the start.

I think you’re thinking of the “Great Britain ‘75” movement. The Stirling brothers (founders of the SAS in world war 2) were instrumental in that planning. In the end they didn’t pull it off, but they didn’t get arrested either. Kind of like the establishment was keeping them on a shelf “just in case.”

Myopic? Really?
Try weak, woke, sissified, homosexual, pathetic. Those are much more accurate terms.

Colonel Kemp is correct, of course. So he must be punished.

The UK Deep State loves to classify free speech as a “public order offense”.
Perhaps that’s how they’ll get Colonel Kemp.

If so, he certainly won’t be the first one.

Well, that's getting positively convenient.

Round them up, stuff them into the hold of an old ocean liner or two--mixing the Persians with the Arabs for entertainment--put it on auto-navigation for Tehran, and send them with almost enough fuel to get there.

I think everyone else in the world would be happy.

Seeing as how that’s where Tottenham Hotspurs play, how much longer will they be able to have the “Yid Army”?

As we all know, the British monarch reigns but does not rule. Yet the monarch is the commander-in-chief of the British armed forces.

Charles is too busy playing grab-ass with Camilla to do anything. Plus he’s weak by nature.

But King William… is he bold enough to stage a military coup and save his country? I’ll be optimistic and say there’s a 1% chance of that happening.
