The biggest names in Democrat gerrymandering are out taking to the Sunday talk show circuit, to complain about Texas's maneuvers to redistrict their state in what would likely bring in more Republican seats in Congress, in what they say is a bid to correct underrepresentation.
"Threat to democracy," intoned Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzger, without irony.
Questioned about his own state's famous gerrymandering, he insisted that his state is nothing like Texas, which its own way was true enough, because nothing is as badly gerrymandered as Illinois.
New York's Gov. Kathy Hochul, who has attempted two failed bids to gerrymander her own state was no different. She said New York was nothing like Illinois and could not be compared to the threat to democracy that Texas represents. Seems the same talking points from the invisible hand running the Democrats went out.
Given their records, their arguments stunk. And it was so bad even the media wasn't buying it. Is this the best the Democrats have got? Or do they just have that much contempt for the American people?

Dems crossed over into “anything goes”-land some years back. they never expected any pushback from the “go-along-to-get-along” R’s. surprise!!! time to win - or at least level the playing field.
So 40-45 percent of voters get 15 percent representation in dim states. They are for democracy you know.
That’s correct.
And it is a threat to democracy,,if voters vote for any, but the Democrat party candidates.
The talking points have gone out. This effort in Texas is a threat to democracy. Trump is a threat to democracy.
If voters have the audacity to vote for some party or candidates other than Democrats,, that too is a threat to democracy.
Cursory researching on the internet shows that in 2024, Republican candidates for Congress got about four million more votes nationwide than Democrats did.
But remember, in any the conflict between the facts and Democrat talking points or narrative, the talking points or narrative are to be believed over facts.
I wish what I just wrote was sarcastic, but that’s how these Democrats are behaving.
At my former office non citizens were given ballots thanks to Oregon’s voter motor automatic registration. Vote by mail is so corrupt. Ballot collectors will send ballots from street bums in the cities to the small conservative towns to get liberals elected annd their policies passed. End all vote by mail.
From all I’ve heard, J.B. Pritzker himself is a major threat to democracy...and a few other things.
Hopefully Jaybee will continue the hallowed Illinois governor tradition of transitioning from The State House to The Big House.
Certainly a threat to the business model of “all-you-can-eat” restaurants!
