LOS ANGELES - Undocumented employees of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center near Burbank have reportedly been fired.
Employees told FOX11 as many as 40 employees who cared for the horses and stables were let go Friday morning.

The city contracts private company ASM Global to run the facility. LA Mayor Karen Bass spoke with our Elex Michaelson about the matter.
"Apparently, I guess ICE asked for whether or not the employees had proper identification and through e-Verify, and that's all I know right now," said Bass.

That’s a lot of people to lose suddenly in one place having a large stake in continuity and reliability. While I am delighted at getting rid of illegals, those animals will be at risk until replacements can be found, trained, and qualified.

The employees almost certainly provided some sort of document which is why employers are so opposed to mandatory e-verify.

How much of a deficit is LA running? But the rich and their daughters keep their horse riding lessons going. The whole place should be shut down and the 75 acres used to build a mental facility.
