Trump putting more feds on DC streets in response to out-of-control youth violence

WASHINGTON — President Trump is planning to deploy federal law enforcement on the streets of the nation’s capital as early as Friday to crack down on violence committed by gangs of roaming “youths,” the White House confirmed to The Post.

“DC residents can expect to see an increase in federal enforcement starting as early as tomorrow,” an administration official said Thursday, adding that operational details were still being finalized.

The move comes after a well-known former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer, Edward Coristine — also known as “Big Balls” — was attacked by teenagers as he intervened to thwart an attempted carjacking near Dupont Circle, about a mile north of the White House.

Coristine, 19, was beaten up and bloodied by about 10 juveniles at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday. A picture of the injured staffer was posted by Trump and Coristine’s former supervisor, Elon Musk, earlier this week.

National Guard vehicles were spotted outside the DC armory Thursday morning in apparent preparation for Trump’s announcement. The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are also preparing to deploy personnel, according to CNN.

“Washington, DC is an amazing city, but it has sadly been plagued by petty and violent crime for far too long,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. “President Trump is committed to making our Nation’s capital safer and even more beautiful for its residents, lawmakers, and visitors from all around the world.”

The expected order follows Trump’s “Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful” executive order signed on March 28, which established a task force dedicated to fighting crime and reducing illegal immigration in the city.

The EO calls for the Trump task force to work with the Metropolitan Police Department in...

They need to bring back the concept of gangs. That way, most of the young angry black males will be busy just fighting each other. It used to work pretty well.

Trump had better also replace the DC Court’s Judges and the DA if he’s serious about curbing youth crime, or any other crime for that matter.

A friend was recently parking her car near Logan Circle / 13th St. in broad daylight on a busy street - 0.9 miles from the White House

She went into her trunk to get something, and as she did, a group of “yutes” walked up, opened her driver door and stole her purse, laptop and cell phone from the front seat. They just looked at her and laughed “wuch u gonna do?!”

She had AirTags on the items and could trace them to a house in Northeast DC

She reported it to police. They did nothing, and they could not have cared less.

Even with all of Fed.gov spending flowing through it, much of our Nation’s capital is a 3rd world sh**hole.

Yep. Sometimes a little gang warfare is helpful.

An excellent point.

But what are the chances Mike Johnson and John Thune would cooperate in their removal?

This is 100% Congress’s responsibility.

Congress was granted authority to legislate “in all cases whatsoever” over a district ten miles square. The DC “government” is unconstitutional and should be dissolved immediately.

This has nothing to do with Trump, or, more exactly, he has nothing to do with it unless or until Congress appoints him to a position of authority over the District.

Yup—DC has stunningly high crime of all kinds.

Many sections of the city also have needles and other debris scattered all over the place.

“much of our Nation’s capital is a 3rd world sh**hole.”

And has been for decades.

The capitol is a shit hole.
Know why? Everybody who is not black moved out!
I’d rather live in a Barrio than a black neighborhood.
I’d have a better class of neighbors.
Y’all can’t call me racist, you can say
I’m selective.

Just looked up the population of Washington, DC. The first reply was 702,250.

That's probably 600 - 700 thousand more than anybody expected when the district was carved out.

Time to shrink DC borders down to the point where the population is about 20K. Put the rest of the land back into Virginia and Maryland.

And move the government to somewhere in the middle of the country - the Ozarks? Let the locals convert all of the palatial government office buildings into affordable condos and let them deal with it.

Maybe we don’t want the government in the center of the country.
The Ozarks are populated enough.

Stop paying them to breed. Pay them to get sterilized.

Then the right people will have more money to raise families.
