Mitch McConnell’s legacy comes under fire in Kentucky race to replace him in the Senate
Associated Press ^ | 1:58 PM EDT, August 4, 2025 | Bruce Schreiner

Republican Nate Morris had deftly warmed up a crowd of party faithful, gushing about President Donald Trump and recounting his own life’s journey — from hardscrabble childhood to wealthy entrepreneur — when he turned his attention to the man he wants to replace, Sen. Mitch McConnell.

That’s when things got feisty. While bashing Kentucky’s longest-serving senator at a GOP dinner on the eve of Saturday’s Fancy Farm picnic, a tradition-laden stop on the state’s political circuit, Morris was cut off in midsentence by a party activist in the crowd, who noted that McConnell isn’t seeking reelection and pointedly asked Morris: “What are you running on?”

Morris touted his hard line stance on immigration and defended Trump’s tariffs as a boon for American manufacturing. But he didn’t retreat from his harsh critique of McConnell. […]

The pushback from a county GOP chairman revealed the political risks of attacking the 83-year-old McConnell in the twilight of his career. Towering over Kentucky politics for decades, McConnell is regarded as the master strategist behind the GOP’s rise to power in a state long dominated by Democrats. The state Republican headquarters bears McConnell’s name. As the longest-serving Senate party leader in U.S. history, McConnell guided Republican policymaking and helped forge a conservative Supreme Court. Back home, his appropriating skills showered Kentucky with federal funding.

Now, his blunt-force style of campaigning — which undercut so many foes — is being used against him. …

“As the longest-serving Senate party leader in U.S. history,”

The epitomized definition of the RINO/Uniparty, one would be hard pressed to find a more damaging politician to America over the last generation, maybe two.

McConnell undermined every good GOP Senate candidate who didn’t kiss his ass. The GOP would have regained the Senate majority several elections if not for his selfish self-promotion

Speaking of elections, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals today, ruled in favor of Texas in connection with their law that requires voter ID for absentee voting.

“Texas can make people applying to vote by mail provide identification numbers that must match the state’s data, the Fifth Circuit said Monday.

A three-judge panel ruled against a challenge from the Biden administration and voting rights groups in holding that Texas’ system for rooting out potential fraud is “obviously designed to confirm that every mail-in voter is indeed who he claims he is.”

The decision from Judge James Ho reverses a November 2023 district court ruling that struck down the number match provision, saying the system isn’t material in determining voter eligibility. The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit already disagreed with the lower court before Monday, pausing the injunction in December 2023.”

Mitch and the legacy GOP sold their soul for money and power to Henry Kissinger, the owl God at the bohemian grove and the CCP. F them. They are demons who went all in on poisoning us and our kids with the COVID VAX. F them… cowards and traitors. They killed people in my family… for money and power, they are evil… F them. Shit cowards… scum who desecrated the sacrifice of the WW2 Generation… they let evil people run a Eugenics program on the millennials… while Gen X couldn’t contemplate that we had a boomer generation of leaders who were basically all satanic pedophile. F them.

Nate Morris posted in support of DEI and ESG, things he’s since pledged to oppose.

...

The deleted tweets included multiple posts promoting the concept of a circular economy, a movement defined by the Environmental Protection Agency as a model that “keeps materials and products in circulation for as long as possible” and “an important part of slowing climate change.” The concept, promoted by organizations like the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, frequently comes alongside government regulations and mandates.

....

Previously deleted blog posts from Morris’ time as CEO of Rubicon, a large recycling company, have come under scrutiny for their promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG). For example, in one post from September 2020, Morris praised a new board member of Rubicon for helping the company remain “at the forefront of the ESG movement.”

In another deleted post from June 1, 2020, Morris wrote that he was “feeling profound sadness and anger at the tragic events of recent weeks” in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

“The protests we are seeing are a manifestation of the pain and anger that so many are feeling,” he wrote. “While it is important that we understand that pain and anger, it cannot bring back the lives that have been lost or undo the past injustices that have plagued our nation for generations. That pain and anger must fuel real, measurable, and decisive action to light a better path forward.”

Another post highlighted Morris’ decision to sign a DEI commitment, which included pledges “to have complex discussions about diversity and inclusion, to implement and expand upon unconscious bias education, and to share best and unsuccessful diversity and inclusion practices.”

^and in addition to the above, Morris also supported Mitch McConnell as well during the same time periods as those he is criticizing - okay for him, but not for them. He also claims to be a Trump champion, but support Nikki Haley during the 2024 primary. It is all a show.

Hope this means that it’s still a false dilemma to have to choose between Morris and McConnell.

Yes, and they wear the “longest ‘serving’” title like a badge of honor. Spit.

The man has been in the United States Senate almost as long as I’ve been alive. The RINO/Uniparty always gives us leaders like this— feckless, bumbling, incoherent, in office for decades without any significant accomplishments on behalf of true individual liberty. Always compromising one way <<-—.

Once they leave, they get this-or-that office building named after them, and casual observers recognize the name but can’t connect it to any memorable deeds.
