Western leaders have condemned videos of emaciated Israeli hostages filmed by their captors in Gaza, with the Red Cross calling for access to all remaining in captivity.
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said "images of hostages being paraded for propaganda are sickening" and they must be released "unconditionally".
The calls come after the Palestinian Islamic Jihad published video of Rom Braslavski, thin and crying, on Thursday, and Hamas released footage of an emaciated Evyatar David on Saturday.
Israeli leaders accused Hamas of starving hostages.
Hamas's armed wing denied it intentionally starves prisoners, saying hostages eat what their fighters and people eat amid a hunger crisis in Gaza.

for 2 yrs Red Cross couldn’t be bothered - not even to deliver needed medicines to hostages. i guess better late than never...

Which is why I have not contributed to the Red Cross for years. They are very selective about who they help, and it's not the people I would like to see helped. I give instead to the Israeli version of the Red Cross--Magen David. At least I know that they are helping Israelis, not ignoring them as the Red Cross does.
me too. i was horrified to read of the Red Cross’s behavior during WWII, especially not communicating what they saw when they were allowed to visit concentration camps. even the ICRC admits its failures then which makes its failure this time around all the more appalling.
