Thailand, Cambodia reach trade deals with US after ceasefire: Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Wednesday that Thailand and Cambodia reached trade agreements with the U.S. just days after the Southeast Asian countries agreed to a ceasefire to end five days of deadly clashes along their border.

Monday’s pause in fighting came after President Trump directly pressured both nations, warning the U.S. might not proceed with trade talks if the military conflict continued.

In an interview Wednesday evening on Fox News’s “Hannity,” Lutnick praised Trump’s dealmaking approach, which the Commerce secretary said paid off particularly well with Cambodia and Thailand.

The Commerce secretary noted Trump spent all day Saturday “calling Cambodia, Thailand, Cambodia, Thailand” to discuss the ceasefire, adding, “And what happens on Monday? They announce a truce.”

“And you know what we did today?” he continued. “We made trade deals with Cambodia and Thailand. I mean, how cool is Donald Trump?”

Lutnick did not elaborate on the deals in the interview. Additional details were not immediately available.

Many foreign trading partners have raced to strike a deal with the U.S. to avoid steep tariffs set to take effect Aug. 1, marking the end of Trump’s 90-day pause on his April “Liberation Day” announcement of “reciprocal” import taxes and subsequent extension lapses.

More winning. I would love to see someone put together videos highlighting all Trump’s successes with the things the left pretends to care about, like peace and improving the lives of the 3rd world, but give them titles that sound like they’re critical of Trump. It’s the only way to make certain people aware of Trump’s accomplishments.

For example, a video titled “Trump focuses on Russian/Ukrainian peace while ignoring war in Africa that’s been waged for years”. When those on the left click on it expecting a Trump bashing video, they’re told about how his administration brought an end to the deadly conflict between The Congo and Rwanda.

Have interviews with the actual African leaders and citizens of both countries explaining what a positive difference Trump has made in their country, the lives saved, and how they were ignored for years by past administrations.

“make certain people aware of Trump's accomplishments.”

That would be cool, but I think you would still be preaching to the choir.
“Liberalism is a mental illness” .. it's not just a cute phrase.
It's reality. We have a serious mental health epidemic.. or as it would have been called years ago ,, an evil spirit in the land.
I can see the manifestation with my eyes.
I can hear the wailing with my ears.
I can smell the stench with my nose.
..... but on a lighter note ...

I would love to see some videos like that...
Wish I could put something like that together, but the wave of technology swept over me long ago.

Trump has been and is ... the most significant figure on the world stage in my life time.
I would have to use the old boy scout oath to describe him.

As the evidence mounts that his tariffs and trade deals are working ...
it will be harder and harder to spin.
A true master of “the art of the deal”

True. And for some, there will be no awakening until their “leaders” are discredited. I’m talking about media icons as well as political leaders on the left. Prosecutions of high profile figures like Brennan and Comey and the subsequent discrediting and shaming of those in the media who carried water for them is an important first step to regaining some sanity in our public square.
