We need a “sit tight”/”as-is” or a perhaps a 50-100 basis point hike.

And we have an inflation report coming before then (maybe 2) plus PCE, both of which ticked up in the latest.
In fact the core expected number Y/Y in 2 weeks is at 3%.

I don’t see a rate cut coming anytime soon from America’s central bankers.
However, the interest rate spread between North America, Asia, and European banking needs to stay “within the ballpark.”
If it doesn’t, a distortion in international money flows will take place which could cause a misalignment of capital.
Trump is really turning up the heat on Powell and Fed...he REALLY wants them to lower rates...is he in the wrong camp here?
