review about 200,000 federal regulations and assess which can be eliminated Pretty much all of them. Lets have laws passed by Congress instead. Wouldn't that be something?

Here’s a question for all the tech lovers.
What will happen when AI starts ruling on the world’s religions?
TV series Bones.
Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan: The Jesus Myth always promotes only nonviolence.
FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth: It’s not a myth.
When people were trapped she said “I wouldn’t waste my time saying prayers to an empty sky thinking someone would come to rescue me.”

"President Trump is working hard to save the Republic." President Trump is working hard to restore the Republic.

Lets have laws passed by Congress instead. Wouldn't that be something? I wrote this 27 years ago:
As claims proliferate, the legislatures and courts are overwhelmed with cases that are technical and difficult to prove. They rely upon technical opinions from supposedly disinterested experts. Neither legislators or courts have the power to enforce a judgement; that power lies exclusively with the executive branch of government. The demand for expediency induces legislatures and the courts to default their constitutional responsibility to the only civic agency with relevant expertise and police power. Control of use and, thus, ownership of that use, is effectively transferred to the executive branch of government.

I never saw the show, but do see the ads for it on BBC America. The leading man has to be one of the ugliest characters on TV.

AI should also flag those laws that are unconstitutional.

“unconstitutional.”

If you care so much about the Constitution, where in that document does it give an AI program the power to declare something unConstitutional ??????

the Constitution, where in that document does it give an AI program the power to declare something unConstitutional ??????1st amendment. Redressing grievances. AI is just a tool that lets the user know that “hey, have you seen this law? You might want to get rid of it. “

You don’t need AI...if there’s 200,000 regulations you eliminate them all. Regulations are not law but a governmental order designed to replicate law.

Like it or not, that is what the Supreme Court is for and that is specifically mentioned in the Constitution. Some AI algorithm which only the designers know, and who goals and motivations are unknown (other than what they publicly say) is not a proper tool in government for determining the Constitutionality of anything.
If George Soros was funding, designing and installing an AI application into government data systems to monitor and recommend deletions and or changes to regulations, we would all be apoplectic. To not question the wisdom and propriety of this action just because “our guys” are doing it, is just plain hypocritical.

Nope. That’s what all three branches of government are for and what the 1st amendment is for. AI can just point out to the user which laws seem unconstitutional. The user can then petition his representative to overturn the law, or petition the POTUS to issue an EO preventing the feds from enforcing the law and bully pulpit congress to change the law, or, yes, go through the courts. SCROTUS is immaterial to the first two remedies.

The leading man has to be one of the ugliest characters on TV. I've always liked BBC for making movies using plausible real-people actors rather than the ultra-pretty actors who are worshiped in the US.

It’s actually an old (2005) Fox TV production. BBC is showing the re-runs.
