Amid Russia's deadly attacks on Ukrainian training grounds, Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said military training should be moved underground as much as possible to better protect soldiers.
"The entire territory of Ukraine is within range of enemy missiles and drones," Syrskyi said after a monthly meeting on troop preparedness. "The training process must be moved underground as much as possible."
A Russian missile hit a Ground Forces training facility on July 29, prompting Ukraine's military to launch an official investigation. The attack left three people dead and 18 wounded.
A special commission was formed to determine whether lapses by military officials contributed to the casualties.
Earlier, on March 1, a strike by a Russian Iskander-M missile hit a formation exercise in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, killing and injuring an undisclosed number of Ukrainian troops.
Russian reconnaissance drones had allegedly identified the assembled soldiers before the attack. The incident prompted Syrskyi to suspend two commanders and launch an internal review, while Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation opened a criminal case into the deaths.

That will install confidence.
Did we send them enough shovels? Can we volunteer Lindsey Graham as their head digger?
“Hell would be a good start. “
So go and wait there.
We’ll send you as a 4th grade just do as you’re told digger. That will fit you well.
UH OH! It sounds like Ukraine's soldiers are now said to be 'training' underground. I suspect they mean the men are 'training underground' in Ukraine's military graveyards.
This will help though - Zelensky can claim to have mass quantities of willing volunteers you cant see because they are 'training underground.'
On the front, there's only an hour or two of training before you're shoved to the front line with a weapon you barely know how to operate and limited, if any, ammunition.
.
Oh please enlighten me...
We’ll(plural) will “send me as a 4th grade”. 4th grade what perchance?
Do as I’m told... By whom, I would apparently be armed with a shovel, caution would be advised. Not if Linda had one.
Ukrainian recruitment centers are also having bad dreams...
Good news is that if you’re 60+ or a woman, you are now encouraged to enlist in the Ukraine military. Massive winning!

I’ll bet Artillery School is a real blast.
Both sides can go to Hell. I have no preference.
military training should be moved underground

Well, that’s where many of their troops are located.
President Trump is training some of the Ukrainians in Germany, this unit last trained Ukrainians under President Trump, in Ukraine itself.
“The ceremony signified the transition of mission responsibility from Task Force Independence, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Pennsylvania Army National Guard to Task Force Saber, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Tennessee Army National Guard.
This marks the 278th ACR’s second deployment in support of JMTG-U.
The unit previously supported the mission in 2018 when it was based in Yavoriv, Ukraine.”

cool- just put the western half of ukraine underground so it can be completed by the time russians get there....
“A Russian missile hit a Ground Forces training facility on July 29, prompting Ukraine’s military to launch an official investigation. The attack left three people dead and 18 wounded.”
Rumor has it that this strike wiped out the German team that was getting ready to fire off missiles at Russia.
Oh well, live and learn (or die and learn, in their case).
The war in Ukraine has turned into hybrid war using trenches from WW-1 to quad copter drones dropping grenades.Does this mean the Ukrainians are gonna tunnel under Russian trenches make a small room filled with explosives &fire it remotely.

In the east, an area the Russians overran, had a huge former saltmine where millions of weapons were stored.
