Another long-running lie, which appears on TV too often, is that of while-coat wearing ‘doctors’ (actors, most likely), with well-placed stethoscopes around their necks, selling us all types of drugs. The drugs might be fine, but the white coats and stethoscopes are a bit much and not credible.

The “doctor “ on the TV was required to have full support of the media to push a message. There was one message the “doctor” gave and the media made the message scary and that you will die if you will not obey the message.
That one message to “doctor” gave? That anyone and everyone can get the Chinavirus2019 through their eyes, just like the flu (rubbing one’s eyes)…and you will die.
The msn ran with it and told everyone the Chinavius2019 was airborne and you will die if you did not block this floating virus.
This lead to the stupid people wearing face shields when these stupid people should have been wearing a cone to keep them from rubbing their eyes, that doubles in keeping one from licking their wound where their balls used to be.
The ultimate was Sec of Defense Llyod Austin wearing a face shield and a fez on his head while inspecting troops. That made Austin one of the highest ranking stupid people in the US.
1948 to 1954 we put “in God we Trust” on our money and “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and many similar actions.
Why? Not because the nation was more Godly...but because we wanted to make a point:
Do not trust government, Do not trust the politician. Do not trust the newly emerging technology (TV).
This was agreed on by R and D, by aetheist and religous. We had just seen teen both Nazis and Commies and universally rejected both.
Not to mention the big-name press lying about it over, and over again. Tagline still applies.

Exactly correct. This alone proved this man should have been not allowed anywhere near our troops.
That was one of the reasons I never believed it. I know these people lie when they say “Good morning.”
The people I trust are the ones living inside my head, and I’m suspicious of half of them.
