Who?
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
― George Orwell, 1984
Chicago once had a vibrant community of Italian-Americans. Over the last forty years the vast majority have left Chicago. The Columbus statue was a remnant of their once thriving culture. The current residents have no appreciation or understanding of that culture.
Chicago Park District Supt. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa
Columbus sailed under the flag of Spain and claimed America for Spain.
So where does the name Ramirez-Rosa hail from?
Hint... It ain’t Norwegian.
“””” saying the temporary art would “celebrate Chicago’s diverse communities”””””
So they will put up a statue of an EBT card and some scratchers.
So the Columbus statue will certainly be rotated back in. When, you might ask.
Columbus represents the normal people who built this country up. By removing Columbus’ statue, they are showing their disdain for us and their intent to replace us.
It is all about canceling the monuments that celebrate European cultures and Western Civilization.
On the same day, it was announced that a former public school building named in honor of the Irish patriot Robert Emmet will be transformed into a community center and Emmet’s name will be removed.
Murder Plaza will show you the diversity of people who want to kill you.
Carlos Ramirez-Rosa is a self-described democratic socialist and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
He was a Bernie Sanders delegate.
Pick a lunatic fringe radical protest and a Ramirez-Rosa is on the front lines.
Remember when everybody was so upset with the Taliban blowing up the statues in Afghanistan?
Well we ain’t no better.
When all the Confederate statues were coming down, stone cold silence on your part. Now your statues are down and no one is saying a word. Too bad.
I got to Carlos Ramirez-Rosa and I knew I could stop reading.
Actually, I felt that the removal of the statues, the vandalism of Richmond Virginia, and the renaming of military bases was outrageous. I also felt it was hypocritical of Nancy Pelosi to condemn the Confederate monuments when her own father dedicated many of the same statues in Baltimore, Maryland while he was the mayor.
Right. Whenever we see a. Name of a building or public space that starts with. “The People’s”, it’s NEVER for the people.
