A motley crew of media and others, from Politifact to the CATO Institute, have claimed that illegal aliens have a lower crime rate than native-born Americans do. In a recent interview, prodigal presidential son Hunter Biden went even further. He claimed that white males are 45 times as likely to commit violent crimes as immigrants are. Why, even Grok artificial intelligence, in a contentious Monday thread, claimed that white men are bigger perps than illegals.
The whole idea here, obviously, is to sanitize illegal migration. “These ‘undocumented’ enrich the country,” is the implied argument. “They’re safer to have around than Mr. White Bread next door!”
This is counterintuitive, of course, and for good reason.
It’s completely untrue.
In fact, I got Grok to say uncle and confess its error. But before getting to the artificial stupidity, let’s start with the natural variety.

As to Biden the Younger, he made his comments in an hours-long interview, released Monday, with YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan. In what was an unhinged, expletive-laden rant, he claimed:

Obviously, the perps of unsolved crimes can’t be counted for these purposes.
They commit many more crimes on a percentage basis by far.

Not all native-borns are white, for one thing.
Many crimes committed by illegals are not reported, especially if they’re against another illegal.
How many illegals are driving around with no license and no insurance?
How many immigrants have failed to show up for a court hearing and/or overstayed their visa?

By expanding the category of white people, you increase the numbers of crimes committed by white people. That is why Latinos are considered to be white and Semites, who have their origins in the ME but are now citizens.
However, even if it were true, we are stuck with citizens. We don’t have to be stuck with foreigners who are in the country illegally. That’s a choice being made.
Norwegian-Americans have a lower violent crime rate than the country of Norway.

Crimes committed by illegal aliens is a problem that doesn’t have to exist.

Well, considering that the illegal invaders have all committed the crime of illegal entry or overstaying their visas, I’d say they are at a 100% crime rate.
