Do B-52s have TCAS?
The interweb says most are exempt.
Were they playing Love Shack or Rock Lobster?
The kind of story you get on a slow news day.
I would guess Private Idaho.
C’mon, man. It was an aggressive maneuver. Probably a barrel roll.
“...because the Air Force base DOES have radar..”
I guess the AF hasn’t cleansed their ranks of DEI hires yet!
Great move by this pilot; he saved a lot of lives!
B-52s do seem to be big fellahs.
Best to avoid.
Should have just called it turbulence.
Maybe an original B-52 with 60s electronics?
A near miss is actually a near hit. George Carlin
So…the pilot got on the PA and told the passengers that the Air Force was to blame?
He’s going to have some gigantic problems with that
He’s probably a former navy man.
The pilot seems like a chatty guy/gal.
Don’t think I’d want to tangle with a B-52..They’re beautiful but HUGE!
We love the Navy guys. Some times they’re here for a blue angels demo. They are just great.
A commercial regional jet flying a routine route to a civilian airport in the same town that has long had an Air Force Base with B-52s. Didn’t the civilian ATC Tower notice the B-52 & Delta jet so close to each other?? That question wasn’t addressed in this report for some reason. Does this happen often that commercial pilots have to take an aggressive maneuver to avoid B-52s in greater Minot??
