Migrant detainees being held in Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz” have claimed conditions at the detention center are “grim,” citing how they’ve been fed “cold ham sandwiches,” according to The Washington Post.
Florida’s new detention center was officially approved by the Trump administration in June and opened weeks later, costing roughly $450 million for 5,000 beds to house illegal migrants and other foreign nationals. The Washington Post released a report Thursday with detainees, their relatives and former guards describing the conditions of the center.

Republican Florida lawmakers who toured the facility have also come forward to dispute Democrats, with Florida State Sen. Blaise Ingoglia dismissing the claims and telling Politico the center is “clean, air-conditioned, and well-kept.”
“The rhetoric does not match the reality,” Ingoglia told the outlet. “It’s basically all political theater coming from the [Democrats]. What they’re saying is pure bull s*@!.”

I spent 5 years in my church’s prison ministry here in Florida.
Having been in multiple facilities in that time, have seen the food and heard many inmates comment on it and can assure you they would be more than happy to be eating what these illegals are getting.
Thst goes for the living conditions as well. Prison inmates ASPIRE to be in dorm style living.
We al know this is just BS by the left to attack Trump indirectly.
Their problem is Governor DeSantis.....he won’t back down.

At the grocery stores, these vermin have CARTS of high end food - LOTS of meats- that they get with SNAP CARDS- PLURAL CARDS. They pull out a STACK of these cards FROM DIFFERENT STATES and buy PARTY food for their family cookouts.
The only thing they have to pay cash for is their CASES OF BEER.

I do not recall any complaints by the left <-- alleged champions of better prison conditions - being a news topic during the Obama 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 (Biden proxies) administrations.
I dislike the disgusting "personal hygiene" apparatus, and I dislike all the chat and glee for continuing crappy prison conditions.
I want actual criminals off the street. I do not want people in prison, who are not criminals.
Most criminals in prison, know who should actually be therein . . . and who should not > people who are not actual menaces.
Did something stupid, but are not a menace <-- not a good reason for leaving somebody in jail for more than 30 days.
Did something "because I can and wanted to know what it would be like" <-- cause for a longer stay.

Off the street (and out of country), is far more important than satisfying peoples' lust for revenge and harsh treatment. IMHO.
